Once upon a time, I used to hate Brad Pitt (stoopid pretty boy, can't act, etc, etc), and then I saw 12 Monkeys and that changed my mind! And now, when I think about it, he is very good in practically every film I've seen him in.....
Kalifornia - very good, Thelma & Louise - hate the movie but Pitt does what it says on the tin, Meet Joe Black - overlong but quite well acted, The Mexican - plays a loser very well, The Oceans movies - he just plays Brad Pitt and once again you get what it says on the tin, Fight Club - brilliant film brilliantly acted, and so on......!
Same goes for Clooney... I used to think he was just another soap star but by crikey he's quite good and not bad at directing either.
But like many of you on here, I don't get Will Ferrell. Why is he cast in movies? And why do people find him so funny? Oh look at that I fell over. If that's all he can do, I'd rather watch Chaplin any day!

You should see Val Kilmer's performances in 'Wonderland' or 'Tombstone'.
I liked Downey Jr. in 'Wonderboys' too.
Sorry missed that one. I have to admit I saw Wonderboys a very long time back, and don't really remember Downey Jnr in it, though I did absolutely loved the movie, and remember the young Tobey McGuire and Michael Douglas distinctly.
He (Downey Jr.) played Michael Douglas's gay publisher in Wonderboys.
