That's because it's all about the dialogs - and in this way nothing can beat Reservoir Dogs

Saw "Silver Linings Playbook" last weekend and fucking loved it.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here or not, but End of Watch was also brilliant...check the DVD now if you missed it int the theater.

Brilliant? It was like a crap episode of The Shield. Waste of my time. On a similar vein, The Sweeney was dogshite as well.

Yes...that is what I said. Felt like I was watching real cops/friends, man. You are the first person to tell me they didn't like it.

I don't like anything. Ok, it wasn't bad, but when you've watched TV shows like The Shield it's hard for films like this to compare in terms of quality. The comparison is there because The Shield is very gritty, real, shaky camera and you're right in the action.

I just bought Samsara and am still recovering from the emotional roller coaster that film took me on. So brilliant!!!!! Do everything you can to see that film. Also, Searching for Sugarman was one of the best documentaries I have seen in years. Can't wait for Rodriguez's set at Coachella!!!

Just watched the trailer for Samsara due to your recommendation and it frigging looks amazing. Is this more sort of a documentary or like a movie with a narrative story?

It's just a movie with a narrative. there is no dialogue or anything. Just some of the most amazing cinematography you will ever see. Music is brilliant too. It is worth every single penny and more. trust me.

From the makers of Baraka, that film is amazing. I'll check this one out

Have you seen Koyaanisqatsi? One of my favourite films/scores ever

I pretty much listen to the score by Philip Glass everyday (even today in fact).

I have never gotten around to seeing Koyaanisqatsi but it is on my list. I just got the Dave Grohl documentary called "Sound City" which looks like it is going to be music history bliss. Soundtrack has amazing collaborations.

http://www.youtube.c...h/?v=HQoOfiLz1G4

1. Dave Grohl, Peter Hayes, and Robert Levon Been – “Heaven and All”

2. Brad Wilk, Chris Goss, Dave Grohl, and Tim Commerford – “Time Slowing Down”

3. Dave Grohl, Rami Jaffee, Stevie Nicks, and Taylor Hawkins – “You Can’t Fix This”

4. Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Rick Springfield, and Taylor Hawkins – “The Man That Never Was”

4. Alain Johannes, Dave Grohl, Lee Ving, Pat Smear, and Taylor Hawkins – “Your Wife Is Calling”

6. Corey Taylor, Dave Grohl, Rick Nielsen, and Scott Reeder – “From Can to Can’t”

7. Alain Johannes, Chris Goss, Dave Grohl, and Joshua Homme – “Centipede”

8. Alain Johannes, Chris Goss, Dave Grohl, and Joshua Homme – “A Trick With No Sleeve”

9. Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear – “Cut Me Some Slack”

10. Dave Grohl, Jessy Greene, Jim Keltner, and Rami Jaffee – “Once Upon a Time… The End”

11. Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme, and Trent Reznor – “Mantra”

Cool, I'll check that out. It's nice to have a bit of culture in here for a change as it's usually just Whirly talking about films where stuff blows up, terrible one liners and questionable items of clothing e.g. white vest

Do you think there were police cars literally chasing that plane down the runway? (I'm not saying which plane or what part of the movie).

Watched Sound City finally and it is such a great documentary. Being able to watch Grohl, Homme, and Reznor work together in the studio and create a song was such an awesome scene and then doing the same with McCartney, Novoselich, and Smear was like watching kids in a candy factory creating the best candy possible. Highly recommend watching it.

Also, There are only a few more days left to vote and with all of your help I am pretty sure I can win this thing. Please do what you can to vote everyday, share the link below with as many people as possible, and get the word out. I appreciate it!!!!

Yes! It was my favourite movie of 2012, along with Pixar's Brave.
