Hi all!

Excuse my English, it could be bad...

I've composed a song based on Saturate (we are the night). We could say it's a remix but no samples have been used to make it. I've accelerated it, now it's tekno.

I would like to make it heard by the Chemical Brothers.

I don't know if i can put a link in here.

Thanks, for the very good live performance you've given to us at Paris (france) last show (7 july 07)!

Bye!

Feel free to post the link in the "Post Your Music Here" thread. I could bump it up for you if you cant find it. I'm sure others (along with myself) would love to here it.

But no one has given feedback about it. Is it really bad?

My song is bad, but not as your person, TJtheDJ007.

hey dude your song isnt bad, its just a midi version of saturate and speeded up. its very clever if you have played all the parts yourself.

As a positive, you have transcribed the melody nice.

Apart from that, you might find it very hard to find people who are able to "review" this track for you. The nature of the whole "take a melody, put it over a ridiculously fast hardcore beat" thing is very very very niche. Im not the only one on here old enough to remember the days when Happy Hardcore records were a new thing, but those days are past and music has progressed. This track of yours doesnt really display craftmanship as much as simply an exercise of you transcribing a melody and putting it incredibly out of context over a pre-requisite beat.

A fun exercise and its really cool you are being creative and making music and all that, but dont get too riled up or depressed that people cant connect with it. Also, you have to be open to honest feedback if you ask on the internet. My remix of Electronic Battle Weapon 9 has been featured on a few sites and publications lately and some of the first feedback i got (including on our own site) is that the "bassline gets a bit boring". It does :P Theres a few things i would have programmed differently in retrospect but it goes off live and some people seem to dig it. Mostly i had fun making it.

I hope you had fun with your remix, thats what its all about :)

Thanks for these comments, dj_ch3mical and segwist.

I think Happy Hardcore isn't finished, in France we've got lot of "rave party". In these parties lot of creation are going on, Trance, "tekno" (Daft punk -like), drum and bass, hardtek, hardcore...

And of courses there are not only DJs, there are "livers" who plays their own music with machines and/or computers (like me).

So I think my song could be welcome in parties, live played with my computer, with a good audio system, with big bass... mmh

My bass synth sound was chosen for that.

And of course I had fun playing this song with no samples taken from the original song (all played with my midi keyboard with some vsti).

I like your remix too, and I don't think your bassline is boring, the brothers has songs with long lines not changing too, but it's a rythmic, the centre of the song I think. And with a good audio volume, and good quality you could hear all the tiny good sounds that makes your song not boring.
