well the chems will be here in what? less than a month. and i'm sure everyone down here is as excited as me.

tom and ed are probably mildly excited because everytime they come here they do the whole: "wow i love it here, australia is great!"

ANYYYYWAY

i'm thinking what with their time off recently, maybe they have a new setlist for us? i have not been watching the setlists over the last two years because i dont want to spoil the suprise, so i dont know how much they have changed, but i am hoping we get something special,

morning lemon anyone?

on top of that i mentioned a month or so ago, at the future music festival in sydney there will be a place called area 21 or someshit, where big acts from the lineup do dj sets. tom and ed? fingers crossed.

cmon everyone, talk about the chems and awesome experiences you have had in AUS regarding them, lets get all excited before the best moment of our lives since we are the night came out.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd.... GO!

I think the beginning of the australian tour also marks the beginning of some more band activity. So it's good thing for everyone.

yeeeeeeee bowyyyyyyyyyyyyy

i remember last time they came here, it was my first chems experience. i saw them at sydney bdo, which was the only one where they headlined the main stage (for all the other shows they played boiler room)

and i was up front dead centre, and i had never heard a full live set from them ever, i had slow internet, so i had never downloaded a live set and all i knew of their live antics was what was on the singles dvd.

and fuck me dead i was blown away, it was the best thing i had ever seen, i was just filled with such emotion and excitment as me and my best mate danced and stared and had the best time of our lives.

it was such a brilliant thing not know what to expect, they mashed it doesnt matter with under the influence and i rthought i was going to die! it was fucked, everythng was a suprise, i hadn't even heard EBW7 before and when the giant clown came out i was like WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING!??!!? WHAT IS THIS SONG? WHERE AM I?!?! I CAN DIE AFTER THIS!

it was amazing

and push the button had just come out about 2 days prior to it, and about 3 days prior to that, we got to chat to tom and ed online, those were the days, now i am even more excited.

i need to hear a story from someone who saw them fuck up the boiler room in 2000, apparently it was the most over the top boiler room set ever and people broke down barricades to get in. i love that boiler room.

Yeah I saw them the first time at BDO too. I had mixed emotions that night... amazed, scared, happy, freaked out, in absolute bliss. I can't believe its been three years since then and I'm excited that I get to see them twice in one week!

Is the boiler room in over cities a actual building or is there only one entrance to get in. In Melbs its always been a tent so you'll find a ways to see something.

its a little early but thanks anyway

yeah nah my call is (although i have only been to sydney and melbourne BDO) the sydney boiler room is by far the best.

all the others (i tihnk) are in a tent, wheras the sydney one is all indoors this massive arena which makes the lights so much more incredible both at day AND night. there is something about it.

every BDO i go to, first thing i do is run to the boiler room, and when i enter and people are dancing everywhere and the lasers are fucked and there is crazy shit everywhere, i'm like: this is what i have been waiting for all year.

so far i am in for melb solo show, syd solo show and syd future music show, but then the melb future show is the VERY next day and me and my mate are contemplating flying down to see them one more time, but my paycheck will be deciding that one.

^@sirbadge

your running to the boiler room reminds me of the first night at fuji rock both years I was there. find purple haze, find peace with the beat, and I'm set for the festival.

yah paychecks have a mind of their own I swear. Me trying to decide what want to do this summer is really being influenced by my current ones. ARRGGGHHH!!!

grats on getting on to purple haze Ryno.

yea i've heard the Sydney BDO is insane because there are lights everywhere....

however at BDO this year in melbourne krafty kuts had an absolutely insane light show, it was better then the crystal methods when i saw them.

goodluck on attending all the shows man, you general admission or seated?

ummmm...I feel like an idiot now.......

purple haze is the name of the dance tent there.......

I wasn't referencing the "proper name".

I've posted my thoughts about that in other threads before. Sorry, not for me.

Right...in amongst all the packing and excitement for just getting to Oz to start the next phase of my life, I am interspersing all that with getting super excited about the Chems shows.

Still havent sorted out Friday tix for the Sydney show but all set for FMF on the Sat.

Soooooooo....who's up for a mini meet at Darling Harbour before the show on Friday? After we have all partied together on the Fri, sorting out Sat wont be a prob!

I arrive that morning from Blighty...bugger being jetlagged, I am up for partying excessively hard and starting it all off with Chems show number 1. I'll be the one looking somewhat bleary eyed but with an inane pre-Chems show grin on my face! (Last time I went to Syd I was awake for a full 48 hours and never even got jetlag!) :-)

Cant wait to catch them again and tbh I wont mind at all if it is the same show from last year, after seeing it 6 or 7 times or whatever it was, to see it all over again but this time in my fave city in the world is the treat be it a new set or not.

Any ideas how easy it is to get touted/gumtree tix whether in advance or on the day? Is there anywhere else to look other than gumtree?

And another question, how much were the Entertainment Centre tix priced at in the first place so I can possibly get a good idea what is a good/bad touted price?

My sis gets to Syd 5 days before me and I have a chum already there so I dont believe for one second we WONT be attending the March 7th show! We'll get tix no matter what!

HOLD TIGHT SYDNEY!

Last time I caught the Chems in Syd was at the Hordern Pavillion 4 days after PTB came out. (Didnt make it to BDO the day before.)

On that Monday morning Jan 24th, I was up at the crack of dawn and already at the front door of JB Hifi (or whatever its called) so get my copy of PTB. Rushed back to the flat at Darling Harbour and woke up my sis and her flatmates to the dulcit tones and phat base of Galvanise! :-)

The HP gig was ace (although it was my first experience of going to a gig where they take the lids off your water bottles! - note to all attending the Fri show I would suggest smuggling in some lids to be on the safe side!)

Anyhoo, the PTB tour has to be my fave tour out of all the Chems shows I have been to since first ever seeing them way back in 1995. You could really see the boys were loving the Sydney crowd and the Sydney crowd were unreal!

The partying didnt stop afterwards and I had an ace time dancing away to Daft Punk and other electronic fabness in the bar outside the venue for hours afterwards.

I HAVE to and WILL get tix to the Fri show especially after being at the last Brixton show in December which was the icing on the cake after such an awesome summer of Chems fun and frolics.

March is gonna be so ace! The full tour show (rather than the festy set) is so incredible...and I would just love to see Das Spiegel played again!

7 times? you are very lucky...and very dedicated lol, must of been sweet.

i think the tix went on sale on Ticketmaster for about $100.

most of the tickets are selling on ebay from $140-$160 (General admission tickets)

best of luck with the bidding and enjoy the shows, i cant wait
