Love is all!
Your love keeps lifting me...
Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

There's an interview from a radio show that Jittem posted : http://www.thechemic...rview-with-tom/
Tom was asked who the vocal is in Swoon and he wasn't spilling the beans so I guess it's a secret until the album is out!

Yeah the radio presenter here on tripleJ suggested that, I heard a short sample of an interview with Tom the other day but they won't realease the rest another week or so. I'm guessing Further will be the feature album the week it's realeased so they would have interviewed Tom about each track :)

According to the interview in the Sunday Times (with the fre cd) the vocals are all Tom's work - he sings on 3 tracks, backed up by a Wisconsin born singer-songwriter Stephanie Dosen. (Will post a link to the interview when I'm home and not on the iPhone... Pretty neat posting this way!)

Well I've now listened to 'Swoon' on my stereo at a respectably loud level and my opinion on it has now changed.
On first listen I wasn't blown away by the song, I felt it was OK but not great. I still listened and re-listened and grew to like the song more.
But now I have it on CD, all that's changed. (Admittedly, on getting the disc I skipped straight to '...Pills Won't help..' and listened to the last few tracks on the compilation.)
The bass-line I can now hear properly and what a beauty it is. It's amazing the difference that it makes to the song IMO, it really has a depth that I was missing listening to the version I (paid to) downloaded via my mobile network. It really is a song that deserves good headphones or a good stereo to listen to it on, and although the video is enjoyable on youtube, my laptop, even through the stereo is a poor medium through which to listen to this song.
I was particularly tired this morning and didn't want to wake up but on hitting play and hearing this 'new' side to swoon, there was no going back to sleep!

looks like swoon didn't chart in the singles top 75 chart or download top 40 chart this week. hopefully this wont have any impact of potential future single releases, especially a physical release!
hopefully further will get the brothers their 6th number 1 album.
