Another cool Idea I thought of is if I shaved my head balled and then painted my head like the PTB guy.

X-D X-D X-D I would laugh so hard if you did that!!! There's always got to be 'that guy' at a show!

That would take a lot of work. Plus it would be in danger of melting off 5 minutes into the set, especially in a hotter-than-haites dance tent...

We're heading out to Indio in the late afternoon, early evening of the 29th. Just have to make sure my brother-in-law gets his shit in gear so we can leave on time, since he's coming with us.

19 days. 19 days, goddamnit!!!

Why do I have the feeling I already need to start saving b/c Coachella is going to make flying over for the Brixton show a mandatory followup? If my car hadn't broken (again!) I would seriously be considering it.

Because you're like anyone else in here! If you could, you would! God knows I would if I had the resources...

Hell, for a while I was seriously considering letting my coworker finance a trip to Oakland to see the Chems and New Order!

If you'd decided to go to Oakland and could've convinced 'stash to join you, I probably could have swung the extra coupla-hun'... *quiet voice in head says it's not too late.... * Heh, no. I wish, but no. My boss will kill me if I take any more time off. I'm supposed to run the department while she's in Vegas the next 3 1/2 weeks. It was tough to get the time off I did and basically left everyone else high and dry.

[Enter useless post to prevent Coachella thread from slipping from first page]

So, fellow Coachella-goers, which bands are you most excited to see?

For Saturday:

M83, Ambulance LTD, Bloc Party, Mercury Rev, Josh Wink, DJ Marky, Buck 65, k-OS, oh, and a little known group called The Chemical Brothers! 8O

For Sunday:

New Order, Nine Inch Nails, Prodigy, Black Star, Gang of Four, Armin van Buuren :-// , Sloan, Kasabian, Jem, The Arcade Fire.

I have a bad feeling that many of the bands for Sunday that I want to see will be playing at the same time. Ah well, win some, lose some.

Of course, I'm excited about many of the other groups, as well, but I didn't want to list everyone, or what would be the point of this already mundane post?

Well, since I'm only going Saturday...:

The Chems (goes without saying)

Bloc Party

Mercury Rev (although not familiar with that much of their music, the shame, the shame)

Doves

maybe a smidgen of Bauhaus

M83 (would like to hear how they pull it off live)

k-os

If it's anything like past festivals, I'll be hopping around from stage to stage (in between refreshments and searching for those frozen lemonade vendors) just to see what's up. Let it all soak in. Oh, and there's always seeing bands while waiting for the toilets! I also have a feeling I'll end up sitting through a bit of Keane and Wilco even though I *really* don't want to do that - but I know I will. 'stash is right, he knows how I am and knows I'll try my best to get as close to the front as possible.

I am so sad the Cocteau Twins cancelled - I was really looking foward to it!

Anyway. That being said, Sunday has a bangin line-up that imo is more appealing than Saturday's. *sigh* New Order, Kasabian, Z-Trip, Krush, M.I.A., The Faint, I hear the Bravery are quite good, hell even the Prodigy because I heard last time they played Coachella they really made the earth move. And just for good measure I'd like to catch NIN just to see if Trent Reznor still throws little temper tantrums on stage.
