Ok, this is quite sneaky and might be a little frowned upon by the forum admins but hey, they can "fix" it if they want...

I've come up with a way to put images in posts.

*NOTE* You don't need to do these steps if you don't want to post images but only view them. The viewing should happen automagically.

Step 1:

(only do this once)

Email martin. If you're cool enough, he'll tell you how to do this.

A few warnings: It works in IE7 and Firefox, which I have tested.

It might be v. buggy - I don't have any more time to perfect it.

You need to have javascript enabled for it to work (and that includes the initial setup page - no JS and it will really screw up your signature!)

Hmmm, are you on IE6? It works for me in IE7 and FireFox but I haven't tried IE6 (don't have it and I'm on Vista so can't use standalone)

as soon as i started to download firefox, IE7 got jealous and started to work

Ah, it may have just been a caching issue then - I updated the script that shows the images but maybe IE didn't reload it :)

BTW, you need to wrap your sig in [img] tags (even on the forum setup site) if you want the image in your sig to show as something other than a link...

its great the only solution for sorting these images out was for you to do a little hack.

Yeah I know - not great from the admin side is it? From a technical point of view this solution isn't great but at least it's better than nothing and does work!
