For me, another "best of" is ok...
But I think "Singles 93-03" should have included ALL their singles...thats all.

Brotherhood? Why?

I seriously doubt that there will instrumental versions on it. But good point. I can't give a good reason to that except that the person (not whirly) was just lazy and didn't put the names. Wait, whirly, where did you get that list from?

sneakerbeater posted the tracklisting here:

I also googled chemical brothers + brotherhood + track listing and a few things came up. The one I copied was the first one that came up, from spacelab music news:
http://www.thespacel...calBrothers.htm
But the tracklisting's also on the hmv site:

I'm just kind of thinking it as almost 2 different releases. Disc One being a release for newcomers, and Disc Two being a release for us long time and/or hardcore fans. Saturate is a very good Tom and Ed defining track for newcomers. Then there's EBW8, so we can all enjoy the EBWs on one CD. And even still, technically, Saturate and EBW8 aren't the same.

If Let Forever Be wasn't on it, I'd buy it in two seconds. But, I don't want to have to skip that song on 2 different CDs!
And anybody else think the placement of Keep My Composure is a little strange?
THE CHEMS GREATEST HITS OF ALL TIME... and Keep My Composure.

If everyone is already unhappy about another 'hits' compilation, you'll surely be displeased with this news. According to Wikipedia, many of these versions are edits.

I guess the single versions will be good enough for the masses. Maybe we'll get lucky and the songs will segue into each other as Prochem said. Many of the songs are in the same order they'd get played in a live set live, so maybe we'll get a little continuous mix action. Probably not.
For me...I'm happy enough to finally get a definitive EBW collection.

Just got an official email with this tracklist:
TRACKLISTINGDISC 1
01. Galvanize
02. Hey Boy Hey Girl
03. Block Rockin' Beats
04. Do It Again
05. Believe
06. Star Guitar
07. Let Forever Be
08. Leave Home
09. Keep My Composure
10. Saturate
11. Out Of Control
12. Midnight Madness
13. The Golden Path
14. Setting Sun
15. Chemical Beats
DISC 2
1-10 Electronic Battle Weapons
So, uhh, Saturate and Midnight Madness will be in both regular and EBW forms? Double the already odd decision :-\
But that also means that EBW10 is at least slightly different (longer) in some way to Midnight Madness.
Also in the email, it says there is a video for their newest, and there is even a link to it on iTunes, which 30 seconds can be watched ^_^ Ace

Agree with a few posts here, especially Inchemwetrust and Soundertow. Also with Benjani on that the best way imo to listen to the Chems' tracks is on the albums and have thought the same since the Singles came out. It doesn't really surprise me that all the tracks on disc 1 are edits, I suppose you can only get so much music onto one disc (like 80 mins worth?). Must admit the number of times I've listened to the Singles disc 1 I could probably count on one hand as I don't like the edits but most of the tracks on disc 2 have gone onto my mp3 player alongside their relevant albums (or era if you prefer!).
Was thinking the same as a lot of people about the timing of the 'album', its only 5 years since the last one but like someone else said at least Tom and Ed have put some effort into it by releasing a couple of new tracks and including the EBW series which was always gonna go down well with the fans.
Will definately buy the cd for the EBWs as I'd love to have EBW3 and 9 on cd, some of us are too lazy to get out a turntable to listen to one song! ;)

Guys, I'm not soundertow... ;)
Anyways, yeah, it would be fucking brilliant if they released something like "Brother's Gonna Work It Out" but just with their own songs. It would be cool for both sides: the casual fans and the dedicated fanbase.
I agree with Gillenium that Keep My Composure is oddly placed in the middle... except if... well, if they were really mixing one song into next, and thought that Keep My Composure would fit there. Hell, that'll never happen.

It would be interesting to see if there are any new essays on the bros like in the singles disc. Also do we know if the two discs combined are a limited edition set like the singles double disc or is it all inclusive?
At the end of the day, are we really complaining about having Keep My Composure on a Chemicals official CD, not just a soundtrack (I still can't find it anywhere in town, EVEN BEST BUY!)

Oh my god, I am so sorry soundwarrior!!! I'm such a knob, not getting your name right! :(
It would be wicked if they mixed the tracks into one another a la Brother's Gonna Work It Out. Given the name Brotherhood, it would be cool follow-up to Brother's Gonna Work it out and a nifty way to carry on the Chems dj'ing legacy. But dreaming out loud leads to speculation, which could lead to disappointment if the end result isn't what was expected - so I'll stop with my blabber.
Anyway - good to see Golden Path is considered a "best" by the Chems. :)
I'm totaly ready for the EBW disc. Bring it on, I'm dying for EBW 8,9 and 10!

my guess is that it was a compromise, but I am just speaking out of my chemical ass.
Tomned wanted to properly release the EBWs, but maybe the record company didn't have the same type of money rights as they do with the already released material so the record company said the comp could be done if the bros also threw in some of the popular tracks. I dunno....just guessing.
who cares though......shut the fuck up and buy the CDs.
