The Power companies never tell you when they're working on the grid. A shame that your valued electronics got the kiss of death. If im correct, you can be reimbursed for your perished items by filing a claim. Damn spikes!
One time, I was at work when my roommate called me and told me that she smelled something burning in her room so she followed it to my room where smoke was coming out of my computer. She unplugged the strip from the wall and called me at work. So I drive home and found that only my power supply died but everything else was Ok. But my other roommate, who also wasn't there at the time, got the worst of it! Both his DVR and his Blu-ray player went adios!
I was pretty much more concerned if my hard drive died.So much stuff I saved on it. I backed it up immediately after the electronic casualty count.
Good times for you Biff and Poot, as I haven't seen the Plumps DJ's, nor will I see them @ Coachella. I only got this week and next week to grind it out some more at work before the big reward on Saturday. Hopefully Whirly, the damage will be minimal and get your computer running ASAP.
End of line!
