i have hundreds of promo cd's and 12's,they're ok........
i would rather cut off my face than pay $35 for that promo, ill be getting it in a month for free. that one on ebay is being sold by an employee of the pressing factory that evidently stole that and is selling it.
nice artwork though!
cant wait to get it! X-D

Promos usually come without full sleeve. They use to have the front artwork, but no booklet or back inlay to display the running times.
This promo would indicate that there are more of them in existance, so I wonder why no other music mag reviewed it online already.

I'm getting one of the promos just because I'm not tight on money and I'd love to hear the 2 new tracks now along with having a cd with all the essentials. The person says it's a promo so if it comes on some cd-r then I could work things out and send it back to that daft bastard, plus although I hate to justify it through this I don't think they'd sell a burned copy at $35. I will still pick it up when the non-promo comes out (along with the dvd of course!). Figure I could give the promo to a friend who is ignorant in the chem bros music, it'll probably be a good intro album to their stuff... And for the shorten track length: who cares, it's only 20 bloody seconds of a track. I'd rather they cut corners than take off more tracks and I'm sure more people would complain if they took off another 1 or 2 songs.

By the way, what the hell is wrong with durations of the tracks?
1:SONG TO THE SIREN-04.30 - instead of 4:49?
2:CHEMICAL BEATS-04.02 - this is even shorter than the album version!! :(
3:LEAVE HOME-05.05 - instead of 5:33?
4:SETTING SUN-03.59 - ah, radio edit.. okay then..
5:BLOCK ROCKN BEATS-04.52 - single version. everything's fine here as well
6:THE PRIVATE PSYCHEDELIC REEL-09.06 - where did 9:21 go?
7:LET FOREVER BE-03.40 - radio edit here
8:OUT OF CONTROL-07.19 - full single version here
9:STAR GUITAR-06.08 - uh? not 6:27 or 6:55??
10:THE TEST-06.52 - where is 7:46??
11:GET YOURSELF HIGH-05.48 - ok.
12:THE GOLDEN PATH-04.46 - ok
Is this thing mixed or what?
Your knowledge of the chemical brothers is amazing. I realized how poor mine was when I heard a chemical brother song on a commercial, I don't know the name of the song or sure about what record it's on, I think it might be on "come with us". Although I would like to state for my own musical credibility here, that I have over 150 cd's and i only know the names of a few selected songs. Once I get disc-tables i'll start to remember them. It was a Nissan commercial, the shitty thing is that it's not even a good commercial it's just the car sitting still with a bunch of information being illustrated by below par graphics. Anyone else seen it? It sucked to see the music being used in such a crappy commercial but that's the way the cookie crumbles, nissan is cool though. Although the track was not particularly great.

Now that I think further the track was not particularly great. Maybe the song made the commercial worse because it was a chemical song and in my mind it deserved a better commercial. Maybe and the commercial made the song worse because it added a tacky element to it. The scientific approach would be to seperate the different elements. I'm going to listen to the song and just listen, and the next time the commercial comes on i'm going to mute it. Then I will see the true nature of the elements. It will probably be the same as the first time I saw it, maybe this sentence will affect the resulting opinion. What a life, what a life.
