Unfortunately I aint the real Rick Rubin (although I do have a bit of a beard!). Anyways the chems dont need any outside producers interfering in their work. Cmon man - give up the links!!!

Not really sneaker, he didn't claim to be the real one. He just chose that nick as a mark of respect I'm guessing. Granted, not too original, but some people aren't. 8)

Hells ya, I only wanted to show respect for the man himself. Agreed, not too original, but I'm sure someone who uses the name "chemicalfan" shouldn't criticise others ingenuity. ;-)

Anyway, I recall a certain block rockin' duo ripping off the moniker of another double act of contemporary producers and getting away with it....well, for a while anyway....

Exactly! But does it not depend on what you download.

What is wrong with downloading a bootleg or something someone has recorded at a live show that is never gonna be released or sold to make money by the Artist? Its not ripping anyone off.

Dont get me wrong ive payed legally for all my Chemical Brothers music that is avaible in shops. However stuff you cant by ie a live set an individual have recored at the shows i think is ok to download cause the artist wont be selling it.

In genral however i dont download music that is released in shops because that is ripping someone off.

what is worse is people changing for bootlegs even though the artist doesn't receive a cent. but radio promo of gigs are nice.

but until the chems release a live album some will resort to bootlegging them and make a profit.
