Hope it all went well on Makoosa's premiere night, sneaker!!! 8)

what a weekend!! makoosa turned out to better than i could imagine. i really am still buzzing from it.



the whole idea of promoting a night has seemed daughting task. self promotion can be soul destroying. i have always been a bedroom dj at heart. i play music to please me, i'm not an entertainer. but my mate has been pushing us to getting the darksessions sound system out there. so we did!!



vamps is a cool venue. the people are clued up to what music you throw at them. it also has a mature crowd of people how still go out and 'ave it!! the people who run are also sound. this is where i want to have a regular night.



i think i can honestly say we rocked it last night. we kept a full dance floor till 2 am, the end of the night. we had the people dancin. i think we bring a completely unique sound to the club. we take our own equipment cos we wanna give people something different.



we got some very positive feedback, and good pay packet!! we will be returning for another makoosa in the near future. dark sessions in full effect. now off to glint!!

i tell you what you get 10 time more attention from the ladies if your djing rather than being a punter!! i have seen alot of quality down vamps. i look forward to getting back



i had one beer the whole time i was playing. i like to play using 3 decks, so i've got to keep a clear head!! if i started drinking things could go horribly wrong.

sneaker, well done!! I'm so happy for you that Makoosa's opening night went well. Looks like vamps is a cool place to have a club, right up front and personal with the crowd. That's great!

as for drinking whilst dj'ing, i tend to get as hammered as possible - i get really nervous and getting pissed helps me channel my energy into the mixing.



plus it also means that i've got an excuse when i fuck up X-D X-D

makoosa will be returning!! we will be 'pumping the funk' permanently on the last friday of the month starting 30th july. shame we couldn't get a saturday night, but i'm not complaining!! makoosa has reinvigorated my love for spinning, buying tune and listening to music!!! can't wait for the session at vamps!!! i might even treat myself to a new mixer
