And Starfox was NOT the first 3-d shooter, the first 3-D shooter game was an arcade game called 'Battle Zone'

i did not said the first, i said one of the first ;)



And i'm not sure that we have to consider those uggly games like Battle Zone with linear graphics as "3D video games". Starfox had textures and colours :p Even if it's now an ugly game too, it's still one of my farourite game ever.

I like Nintendo as much as I like the Chemical Brothers. They make great games, games that have a soul.

I have a PS2, an XBox, a Dreamcast and a GameCube at home and I mostly play with the Cube.

Most of the good games to Xbox and Ps2 is PC conversions or they end up on the PC after a while. The games are all great but the PC format is just so much better for them, with online multiplayer, mouse and keyboard controllers etc. So i'd rather get a good PC to play all those games, and with a PC you can do so much more. And have a Gamecube to play all the great videogames like zelda mario etc. It's a different thing to play on a Nintendo console then on a PC, but xbox and ps2 just try to be as good as the PC format but.

I only have an Xbox cuz I have a child, and HE wanted an xbox.... but Xbox does have 1 thing over all the other consoles, and that's Doom 3.... Xbox360 is going to be the only console with Quake 4, which makes IT better than all the other next gen consoles...



But yeah, computers are better because, well, all the games are free.

Heh, they're free on xbox as well.

Do you think that SFUR in San Andreas totally sucks? I would really like it if they put musique, my mercury mouth, and dust up beats on it the station, but instead they put all this really repetitive stuff on instead.



What do you guys think?

But honestly without piracy and internet I would probably not even listen to the Chemical Brothers today.

I think piracy is a good thing in some ways, not only because it's free but because it will turn industry upside down. For example without any big record companies why would not have to listen to britney spears all day long on the radio, and some more talented people could breaktrough and be heard. And more people could live on their music making.

But i do buy records sometimes but mostly to support the artist (even if the artist only get a small percentage of the price) and because of the better soundquality and artwork.

I download everything, except for the chemical brothers.... I've probably bought more chemical brothers CDs (singles, etc...) in the last 7 years than all other artists put together... plus, whirly get's promos from her work, so there's not a lot I have to buy..... but I download, games, movies, anything... I've got Batman Begins waiting for me when I get home tonight.



But as for Doom 3, I could either play it on my Xbox, or drop $200 for a new motherboard and processor, $100 for new ram and $300 for a new video card...

Yeah the biggest downside with PC is that it cost a heckload of money to have the latest thechnology. Pherhaps things will change when the new generation of consoles hit the shelves. The next'gen consoles are so powerfull and yet they will not cost half as much as a pc with the latest thecnology.

yeah, I had a moment of extreme despair the other day.... I was dying for Battlefield 2, since the original was so fricken cool, an actual game I spent money on, and I can't run the fricken thing with a GeForce 4 video card... you can't even start the thing unless you have a current generation video card.

Bf2 is an awesome game, atleast the demo i have not had the time to download the full game yet... But even me with a GeForce 6800 GT and AMD 64 processor can't run it properly. This game really eats RAM memory.

Ha, i laugh in your face for buying a 6800! they just announced the geforce 7 series which are only $500 and run 30% faster than two 6800s sli'd
