Hey ben , i don't wanna get all motherly and seriues and shit , but just make sure you won't get dissapointed man. I mean , always think worst case scenario than thinking you will have a new gf tomorrow - this way you will not be dissapointed. if you know what i mean.

Naw, I know what she means. By saying "I might get a new girlfriend tomorrow" it does seem a bit desperate and if there's one thing the opposite sex knows, it's the smell of desperation. I know cold and flu season are upon us but the timing with her falling ill seems weird. Play it cool, hope for the best, expect the worse case scenario if things don't pan out... and play a little hard-to-get (meaning, give her some space from the get go and carry on with your life) It's amazing how that can sometimes add a little mystery and spark a little interest. Not that there's a rule book for this sort of thing, I'm just sayin'.
