Ed has just retweeted Radio 1 about DYOH being featured as part of their 'Masterpieces' week.
If you're unfamiliar with what this is, Zane Lowe presents a series of shows in which classic albums are played in full. The rest of the show consists of interviews/stories/other things about the album.
This years list is as follows:
3rd December - Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf
4th December - Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
5th December - Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
6th December - Chems - DYOH

Awesome. We've all heard the album, of course, but the show that comes before the album shold be interesting. Last year they had Fatboy's YCALOWB, the start of the show had some related music and The Chems got more than one call out (they played the Song For Shelter remix).
So I bet some other big beat classics will get a little bit of airtime before the album begins.

I listened to the Ill Communication one last night. Never heard a Masterpieces before, not bad. First hour is made up of the acts other tracks, bit of a bio, few other tunes of the time the album came out, tributes and interviews then the album in full.

some predictions i had:
interview/snippets from kool herc and noel gallagher
i think we might hear Tomorrow Never Knows by the Beatles
i am hoping for an interview from the time with the chems and not just some random interview(they played a 2009 interview for the beasties last night)

That would be very useful for those of us not back in the U.K.
If it's only because of the "not be able to use the bbc iplayer outside of the kingdom" - BBC 1 and 6 Music (Lauren Laverne ftw!) are in the itunes radiolist. Radio 1 is listed under 'top 40 / pop' and 6 Music is under 'alternative rock'
