I may get no replies to this thread, but I'm going to see if anyone else out there will help me in tracking down how many times we can spot Tom's favorite shirt. The inspiration came from that Ukranian guy's post.

amazing to the point where you have to go to the emergency room because your left arm feels funny. Tom probably likes to pack light, nothing wrong with that. As I'm sure most you know, he keeps a consistent shirt for the live shows too: socialism in 97, modern amusement in 99, that awesome "nous sommes..." in 02, some album called push the button in 05, although I don't know where the headphones one from this tour is from.

Geez Den_b, don't be so hard on yourself. You look just fine! Tom and Ed are the ones that need worry. Especially when things are slow and we have not much else to talk about except Tom's t-shirts, or his hair or Ed's beard.

I have a friend who met Tom and Ed before they came on for their DJ set at Coachella in 2002, and if memory serves me right, he was wearing that shirt as well in the photo. I tried looking for the pic earlier but couldn't find it. I might have some really crappy photos I took of that gig lying around somewhere. But the pics are such crap and you can't make out anything let alone what attire Tom happened to be donning that evening.

Anyway, people have given the Chems all kinds of crap over the years for dressing like they rolled out of bed, haha. There's a spoof impersonating "interview" that was aired by a couple of comedians in the UK that poked fun at Tom and Ed saying they paid like 2 quid at Oxfam for a jacket or something. For the record I think it's kinda cute that Tom seems to have his favorite t-shirts that he always wears. I know stash does. He has some old ratty t-shirts that are so threadbare it's a wonder he still gets any use out of them.

As for Ed, I don't recall having seen pics of him wearing the same t-shirt twice. Try tracking that, Pooter! ;)

So how bored are we?

well in all fairness they did spend £1,000,000 on a modular synth, so I guess if they played with software synths more they could afford to dress nice like the guys from kraftwerk

@whirly: we're really bored!

@Biff & Whirls: Yes, we're bored. And I do have way too much time on my hands.

But I didn't mean this thread as an inuslt. I wear the same shirt multiple times in a week, and I have one or two favorites that I find myself sticking to. My co-workers have a laugh or two at my expense some days...

I wear my Chem Bros t-shirt that I got on tour in September every week.

Looking down, I notice I am wearing it now.

 hahaha, no Pooter - you read me wrong! I don't think this thread is an insult at all (and Tom seems to have a sense of humor so I doubt he's off somewhere crying with his ego bruised and all of that). I think it's kinda funny and admittedly, between this thread and the orgasm-inducing CWU in the WATN tour thread - things are lively again on the forums.

Tom's wardrobe has been a recurring topic of light banter for years now! I remeber a thread about Tom's tank t-shirt, that was a looooong time ago.

I'd post a picture of me n'stash with Ed n'Tom (wearing the infamous dairy shirt) but that's like cheating cuz it was the same night Pooter's pic was taken. :P

I prefer Tom's other favourate Tee the P.A.M one with 'Nous Sommes le' something on it. He had that on everytime I saw them from 2000 until about 2003/4, it still come out every now and again :)

^^^ Ah yeah, the infamous t-shirt that launched a thousand posts.

And maybe inspired the propaganda-ish Push the Button artwork? ;)

Apart from Tom's shirt I think my little sister would hug and kiss Ed because of his beetle shirt. She loves beetles.

Doesn't matter whrily, post your damn pic!

Wow, I mean, I knew this forum was kind teetering on the cliff of deadness, but... XD

No no, I kid. This is awesome. Wasn't around for most of it, but it's awesome. Think it'll be any different for Olympia?

I opened this expecting people to claim that Tom doesn't enjoy wearing shirts at all though Pants are more fun to wear....okay that was creepy.

Tom (or Mrs. Rowlans) must know how to keep Tom shirts from going all ratty if he has been wearing the same ones for years now.

@pooter, awesome interview btw. explains the less american (aka CANADA) touring.

He's got another shirt he wears a lot. The one with a tank on it and "Nous sommes le pouvoir" written :

A trio of amusing t-shirts. Here you go Csar - go tell your little sis that Ed is wearing his Beetle shirt!
