who's Cheeky Paul, some of you ask?

he's the guy who produces all these mix albums. his name is on some CB albums and all of my fave DJ albums (including the works of Sasha and John Digweed).

anyway,

i could make a Singles Collection 93-03 with my tape recorder and cd

player.

my point is, the upcoming album should be more than that: mixed - a non-stop joy ride from start to finish of all the chemical hits. no breaks (except in the beats ;-) ). it would be interesting to hear 'setting sun' mix into 'out of control' or something.

just an idea. what do you guys think?

It think that'd be awesome. However, I think all the tracks'll be seperate...

their music, in general, is not conventional. why should their singles collection?

my point is, they should mix it up.

my point is not that they will probably not mix it up. only that they should.

I agree with meltphace, the chems should definately make the cd more than what somebody could just do with a singles collection and a tape recorder / minidisc recorder. It would be great if they could do a mix at some stage in the cd 8) .

i like your thinking meltphace. i'm sure the chemical brothers won't just stick their tracks together using the industry standard 2 second gap. if they could mash their tunes together like they do in the live show that would be awesome!!!

antype wtf has uk top 40 singles chart got to do with this?? anyway the private psychedilic reel and music reponse ep were chart uneligable cos they broke the rules

The mixed CD would be quite a disappointment if they include the full version of Song To The Siren - and it has no proper intro/outro... ;-)

I agree - but then I'm not a huge fan of the original - I prefer the album version. You will probably crucify me for saying that! But then the album version doesn't have one either :? .....

Since forever - they even follow the UK Top40 Singles Chart format.

How can you say that? No way!
