Joy Division - She's Lost Control
Ian Curtis had such an odd, haunting voice that just lingers in my memory, unsettlingly. Not to mention the fact that Joy Division's tune are excellent, Curtis' vocal delivery and depressed lyrics, combined with the knowledge of what happened to him spooks the living hell out of me.
I'm generally bitter about artists who become more famous for having died before their time, but this situation just spooks me.

Franz Ferdinand - Come On Home
Man, I love Kapranos' lyrics. His (Nu-?) New Romanticism strikes a chord within me. Can identify oh so well.
"You're where you want to be
I'm where I want to be
Come on we're chasing everything we've ever wanted
I replace you easily
Replace pathetically
I flirt with every flighty thing that falls my way
But how I needed you
When I needed you
Let's not forget we are so strong
So bloody strong
So come on home...."

Tool - Third Eye
"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration and that we are all one consciousness ... Here's Tom with the weather."
'stash, have you ever given Tool a look into? I think you might like them. Multiple songs with intricate anal-sex metaphors, a song about how LA should be wiped out in a giant flood, liner notes that feature a discussion about ketamine and ritual magick, sampling of Bill Hicks, and liner picture that holographically animates a nude contortionist performing autofellatio. And that's just on one album.
Sounds right up your alley.
Sure they're pretentious art-metal wankers who only put out an album every five years, but.... and the wide majority of their fans are jock Bud-swilling douchebags.... but......

Deftones - My Own Summer
Great track, I saw them at the Apollo in Manchester on the 'back to school tour' and when they played 'my own summer' it was one of the biggest pits I have ever seen, right across the venue
Currently playing - radio soulwax (essential selection mix)
