What indeed is this forum's thoughts on Hot Chip? I discovered them last week on Jools Holland and going to see them in NY in October. I have no clue how I am getting to hear them just now, but after buying two of their CDs I am feeling it.

Hmmm, I cannot speak for myself since Im out of the loop and not familiar with Hot Chip - but I have seen "Hot Chip" come up from time to time here and dont recall anything negative with regards to them.

If I remember correctly, The Chems have dropped Hot Chip into their dj sets but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the tune(s).

Trainspotters? Anyone... anyone?

They've been 'the hot tip' for a while now. Personally, I can't stand them.

I can't really say too many great things about them, however "Shake a Fist" is excellent/insane ravey sort of ordeal. :!:

The only other song I really like is "Boy From School"

Their sophomore disc, The Warning, is an absolutely brilliant piece of left-of-centre/IDM pop. Boy From School, Colours, Over and Over, and No Fit State are all stunning tracks. This album restored my faith in bands last year.

Not quite as fond of their latest effort but Shake a Fist is a killer track.

Meh... they're ok. I like the remix of Shake a Fist much better. In fact, I like all of the remixes of Hot Chip tunes better than the originals.

great band, chems play over and over in there sets, great live band. deffo check out. managed by the same people as the chems.
