Gundhi Escribi:
Achtung Baby is indeed one of their best albums.
If I need to choose my favorite it will be my second choice.
First choice for me is Zooropa.
Why???
Because I've special memories to that album.
And the Zooropa-tour was my first big concert I went to.
And it's still one of the best I've ever seen.
n.p. U2 - Lemon from the Zooropa album
"she bought lemon"
10/10
I listened to Zooropa today - I think that record was so highly underrated, which is a shame.
Like how you are with Zooropa, I am that way with Achtung Baby. It's a personal record to me, a landmark to where I was at a very interesting, exciting, dramatic period in my life. So many great memories...
Have you heard Passengers, it came out a few years ago - a sort of U2 side-effort (along with other musicians especially Brian Eno) It's great, you can hear a lot of Eno on that record yet at the same time it was a very experimental route for U2 in a lot of ways. Very ambient and fills a whole room, some songs are very beautiful and are all well crafted and it's a wonderfully balanced record because it showcases everyone's talent even though U2 are the focal point. If you haven't heard Passengers, I highly recommend it especially since you seem to have an appreciation for a wide range of music.
I think I'll listen to Passengers right now!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Yes I've heard it once but can't remember what it sounded like.
I have a listen this weekend.
I probably like it. Cause I also like ENO.
Bought some of Eno's old vinyl records some weeks ago at a second hand store.
Passengers wasn't that also the project that opera-singer Pavaroti worked with the U2?
I'm not sure. This could also be a warchild album.
n.p. Alpha Blondy
Some vinyl I bought at second hand store.
Don't know the title though, labels says only Alpha Blondy.
Sounds like old Reggae. With a good vibe.
Have to check out more of this guy.

He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.
