I understand what you're saying yeah.
It used to be like this , and dutch people still are very VERY open minded people. Gay people , different people , they all love Amsterdam cause it's the city where everything is posible. Unfortuantly , a lot of immigrants ( 60% or Amsterdam Population ) make it hard to continue this kind of living...it became's harder and harder to be yourself in Amsterdam.
As for the drugs...the only thing that is aloud to buy here is weed....harddrugs is not legal. And as for my pic yes thats me 1 hour before my first Chems gig in March!

On weds i had a can of beer before work and i duno how but it gave me a lil' sore throat, nothing to complain about really, then i caught up with my mates after wrk to get a bit buzzin round their house. I woke up thursday and my sore throat was still there probs from the weed intake, but still nothin to moan about. Wrk rings up and asks me to work saturday morning (even though im wrking friday night as wel) i sed fuk it yea i'll do it i need the money for my holiday with the boys. Friday comes around and i wake up at 4.30 in the morning, my throat is wrenching, it is so unbeklievably sore and painful, i manage to crawl downstairs to the sink and drink aboyut 4 litres of water. i go back to bed but i cudnt sleep just watched the election coverage instead. by about 9.30 im not feelin so bad, ive had a lemsip, somne cough sweets and a few painkillers. go in college for my two hours of really hard studying X-D ;-) come home and continue to stock up on all the paracetemol i can find. 5 o clock comes round and im beginning to get a headache and a weird strain on my neck, but i shake it off cos i need to go to work cos im covering for a friend that did my sunday shift last week. Get to work buy some more cough sweets. Then had a fucking mare of a night. it was me and my manager (Paul) having to put out 16 cages of delivery between us, hhhmmmm great!needless to say that dint make me feel much better. i finish wrk and im so pissed off witha ll the customers and my manager for not getting anyone to help us out at the shop that i need a beer or a spliff. so i have them both even though i have to be up at 7, to get to wrk for 8. Managed to get to work on time and i felt ok, but my not-so-bad sore throat has developed into full on flu probably due to the lack of sleep from thursday and friday night.two hours into my shift i am feeling like aids, i say to my manager "can i go home i feel really shitty?" he says "take a break" mmmmm 10 mins thank u so much Paul u cunt im sure i'll feel much better after ive had a fukin break! 10 mins isnt long enough for me to take a shit. i had my "break", then Paul comes to the till to buy some shit and i jus sed "i dont think im gona make it in 2moro afternoon Paul. To be honest i shud have rang in sick today cos i feel so bad." anyway i finish my shift and he says "o you cudnt stay for another hour could you???" mmmmm *thinks*, *cant believe the words he has just heard* *explodes* "NO PAUL, I WANTED TO GO HOME 3 FUCKING HOURS AGO COS I WASNT FEELING VERY WELL! NOW YOU WANT ME TO STAY LONGER?YOU' RE TAKING THE FUCKING PISS!I'LL RING IN 2MORO TO CONFIRM THAT I WONT BE IN WORK COS OF HOW SHIT I FEEL"
*walks off in a strop*
10 mins later paul calls and apologises, and he appreciates the work i do and my commitment!haha

Ugh. Went out last night for a friend's b-day. It was at what was the busiest "club" (hah!) in the city. Or so we thought. Absolutely no one there, but I enjoyed the 80s tunes the DJ was spinning, incl. 'Bizarre Love Triangle'. After flirting with the cute (and equally flirty) waitress, I talk everyone into going to this other bar which has "International Vinyl Night" on Fridays, which I knew would be almost exclusively trance, but it's better than Top 40, so what the hell? Again, absolutely dead and, perhaps the worst music I've ever suffered through...
It being Winnipeg and having extremely low expectations, I was reasonably pleased when the first few songs I heard incl. Benny Benassi, Ferry Corsten, etc. ...... then...... bootleg of Coldplay's 'Clocks'..... groan........ kill the joy.... the venga Boys 'We Like to Party'....... WTF?!?!?!?!!?......... bootleg of Hoobastank's 'The Reason'....... ?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!
I couldn't even muster up the 10% enthusiasm I had toward being there and I actually had a single, solitary tear running down my face. I made my excuses and quickly left and went home.
The worst part isn't that the music played was so terrible; the worst part is that everyone was enjoying it and dancing their asses off....... glowsticks and all........ I'm ashamed..... Venetian Snares is right: Winnipeg is a frozen shithole.
What a waste of a night. I miss Coachella. Anyone have a slightly hipper city that would like to adopt me? :D
Oh, and happy b-day Nerdcore!!!

Young fan, sorry you aren't feeling very good. I tell you, nothing is worse than being sick on the weekend! It's the worst feeling! But just keep taking that cold medicine, the good kind, and you'll at least get a good buzz off it. ;) If that doesn't work, hot buttered rum will do the trick. And make you feel all warm and gooey!
Darkstar X-D the solitary tear running down your cheek!!! Oh my god, that's too funny! Your experience reminds me of my friend's bachelorette party a few years back. We went to this horrible club in Los Angeles called The Gate - a real studio 54 kind of attitude where if you're not dressed like a skank then you have to wait longer outside, the kind where all the beautiful people show up pushing their fake boobs in people's faces, chicks snorting coke off the bathroom sink kind of place that Dennis Rodman used to frequent. Oh good god it was awful. And the music was hideous. I'm convinced that that club was where dj's went to die... But people were loving it, I think it must've been the coke and booze talking. Never so badly did I want to leave a club.
