like everything now relgious holidays are just marketed so much. Where the fuck did easter eggs come from. Half the people who celebrate xmas dnt belive in it. They have even started inventing silly days to go with valentines such as teachers days and grandparent days.

Id go back and get rid of crap like dj sammy.

I dunno if im the only one who thinks this but isnt crap like DJ Sammy put there to make the good stuff sound even better? Like... isnt that the soul intention of DJ Sammy: "I think ill release a shit song + album so people think other stuff is better" like the movie 'Saw' "ill put ppl who dont appreciate life in a disturbingly life threatening situation..."

or something...

As for religious holidays... who's complaining about having a holiday!?!?! AND getting presents!!! Geez! Sounds like the ultimate to me!!!! What more do you people WANT?!

We're sorry we didn't get to meet up with you!!

Here's hoping our next visit to London will be sooner, not 5 year stretches inbetween. My cousin lives in the city and has offered us a free place to stay as long as she and her husband are living there. Which is nice because it is so expensive in the UK. Eating out really put a dent in our wallets. There's always next year or maybe the year after when we get our funds in order, and we'd like to come when it's a bit warmer and bring our son with us - being away from him for 5 days was so hard!

DJ Sammy needs to be shaved, sterilized and destroyed. Period!!

As for religious holidays, sure I don't mind a day off if I can get it. Where I work it's open 365 days a year and I don't get paid holidays. But for a lot of people it's a very depressing and financially straining time of year. A lot of companies are reaching the end of the fiscal year and lay people off from jobs. There's a lot of pressure on the work and homefront. And there's people like me who aren't very religious and personally I can't stand stepping out of my house and hearing Christmas music everywhere and seeing religion everywhere - the concept of the holidays is nice to spend it with people you love and give gifts to each other for the sake of giving and having a good time with family. I've had wonderful holiday family gatherings since I've been married...

Personally, the only reason I like Christmas now is because that's my wedding anniversary (we thought it was a bright idea to get married on that day - we were young, so that explains it) and seeing my son's face light up with so much joy on Christmas morning.

Christmas, from my point of view, has become nothing more than a race to buy gifts, who can out-do each other on presents, who can spend the most money. The charitable focus seems to be lost in the consumerism and commercialism, which out here in teh States begins in October. It gets to be a little much - and people spending spending spending like crazy, like there's no tomorrow, and being in retail I see people maxing out on their credit cards. It can be downright depressing!

As for Easter, that's a pagan holiday if there ever was one. We can thank consumerism for taking the Christ out of that one!

When you're as simple as i am the issues and matters of the world generally skim over my head. Like Christmas.

I just like getting presents. And giving presents! Who wants a present??? :D

I'd go back in time and save Jesus from being killed so I wouldn't have to deal with anymore fucking christians.

Wooooooooooahhhh slow down there kiddo - im no bible basher but each to their own man! This is still essentially a Chemical Brothers forum! Don't misrepresent the fans eh?...

I have no problem with anyone practicing any religion they want, as long as they never, ever try to convert anyone to their beliefs. And by that I don't care if they're christians, satanists or vegans. When I rule the world, the punishment for preaching is going to be going feet first into a woodfired pizza oven.

To me, religion is like genital piercings. I don't care what you have, as long as you keep it in your pants.

yeah im hot - i got long blonde hair and a size 6 waist and 32DD boobs and a fiancee and i dont like having my photo taken so dont ask me 4 one. X-D Sorry, still laughing about that old thread. No i'm not hot, i would have said cute. maybe. as in, small.

Oh oh oh, are you 33 like Tom Rowlands? or is he 34 now i cant tell...

As for "Tom_Rowlands_Chemical whatever the fuck your name is" i'd prefer it if you didnt mock the unfortunate incident in which i ran out of characters to spell 'chick'. I was also 13 when i came up with the original name so bear with me for not going back on my naive little schoolgirl roots.

Ahh... plenty of topic for discussion there - and none of the religion!

Forever doomed to roam the earth as Tom_Rowlands_Chemical_Chi!! Chi, you're a lovely girl, even when you are screaming because you're dead center at a Chems gig.

I think Tom is 34. Chi, you're losing your obsessive fangirl touch. tsk tsk!! ;)
