Oh, and Slipvin I am fully aware that the spam infiltrates existing threads as you were so kind to point out here before I deleted your post. I know you so badly want to mod this forum and that is not going to happen. And the spam going away isn't going to happen.
If it bothers you so much, may I suggest you go away?

War on Spam = War on Terror.
It ain't going to be fixed unless you want to destroy everything. It's really not that annoying to me any more. You see posts by new members that have nothing to do with the chems, you move on and they'll be gone in a few hours by whirly/irish's superhero secret identity "Surface2Air" who do a great job unless you check the forum every 3 minutes... Really don't understand the sense of urgency for having to delete them right away, we all have been here for a while and it requires only two connected brain cells to figure out what's spam and what's not.

Bumping this because I didn't want to create a new thread nor respond to a spam thread, but what I'm wondering is..........
What is the point of spam? Obviously it would seem to be advertisement for products, services, etc., often of a dubiously legal nature, but.... How effective is it when it is unreadable or in Cyrillic, or just plain incoherent? Why bother?
I'm easily able to ignore the threads and you can almost always tell by poster names and thread titles which are worth clicking on and which aren't, but I'm just curious WHY?
(Although I have to say, if we are going to get spam on here [and we are], I really didn't mind the ones with decent jokes before a couple of [sorta] discreet links at the bottom. Still wish they weren't there, but a couple of the jokes were quite good.)
