I agree. I have yet to stumble on any other band (including my other faves I've mentioned here before) whose entire catalogue is on constant rotation in my cd changer like the Chemsare. Sure, we all have our favorite records in their catalogue, and there may be some that we find weaker/stronger than others. But I think there is a core that keeps all the records good - and I think that core is first and foremost a passion and love of what they do. They try hard, they take risks and that's something I admire. Those qualities really shine in their art.

Whoa! People are funny.
I find Discovery mindblowing. So chemreaction u'r not the only one.
Stuff like Aerodynamic, Harder Better Faster Stronger. Digital Love, Somethin Bout Us,.. infact almost the whole thing is groundbreakin alright! I don't think any other djs have fucked so brilliantly with vocoders on an entire album and got away with it. Daft Punk are amazing in their own niche. Simple straight structures with minimal layers, but mindblowin sounds and vocoders and melodies. To each his own I guess.

Yeah I agree with you guys, I really didn't mind Discovery. It wasn't Homework, but it was still good. After seeing Interstella 5555, I have a new respect for Daft Punk. If you don't really like Discovery, check out the movie, it'll change your opinion of the album for sure.

I also like discovery but..... homework was very different when it came out i still really like the sound of it, but a lot of the tunes are pretty repetitive i think discoverys tunes are well executed and arn't as repetitive
i'm actually doing a remix of harder better faster stronger at the moment :o

I agree with chemicalreaction, griffin and antype. Whilst the standout tracks on Homework are better than those on Discovery (IMO), I think Discovery is better as an album. I have listened to Homework recently and have found myself skipping over tracks like Rollin and scratchin (which I used to love) and High Fidelity. Discovery I listen to the whole thing and don't get bored.
But then I've not heard Homework in a club...
