Yeah. In the end I even like the whole album. after first listen I was like "What the fuck? This is still groove armada right?"
Had to give it couple of listens. I like it. Still prefer their older stuff though.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.
too bad the rest of the album is not as good and sounds like "classic" LCD Soundsystem (which is not bad actually)
When I first heard 'Daft Punk Is Playing' I was hooked. Got their debut album... ugh. DPIP and Losing My Edge were the only ones that I even bothered playing again, the rest of the album was just so dry and similar I didn't even listen to the whole thing. I might give Sound Of Silver a chance sometime, (should I even, is it any better?) but as of now my opinion of LCD Soundsystem is very low.
BTW: now playing - Voodoo People (Chemical Brothers Remix)

The rap world is mourning news that groundbreaking rapper and Gang Starr co-founder Guru has died of cancer. He was 43. Guru, born Keith Elam, died Monday after a year-long battle with the disease. The rapper had suffered a heart attack on Feb. 28 then slipped into a coma.
A statement from Guru's business partner, Solar, reads, "The world has lost one of the best MC's and hip-hop icons of all --time -- my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru. Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle. This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius."
Solar has also released a letter, written by his pal during his hospital stay, in which he acknowledges he is not going to recover from the condition.
It reads, "I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting."
Guru became famous after teaming up with DJ Premier in group Gang Starr in 1985. The duo released six studio albums between 1989 and 2003.
Thats sad. I never came round to fully checking Gang Starr out, thought I've been recommended to check them out several times. Never a good day when a member of the hip-hop golden age goes down.

This old man,
he play beats,
He don't need no music sheets,
but with a snip-snip-snippy-snip
gave his mop a chop,
Old man hairstyles are a flop.
