Whilst listening to Push The Button in the car, that Shake Break Bounce really should have been called Hot Acid Rhythm 2 - the resemblence is uncanny! It's not a copy or a rip-off, it's an evolution of what was a fantastic track then, which has morphed into a bigger and better statement of where the Chems are now. Shake Break Bounce also has a kind of Hoops-vibe to it - the groundbreaking "no-one has made music quite like this before" feel.
Can't believe I've only just noticed this now - I've only had the album 18 months!!

I love those 3 tracks, and that's true the rhythm part sound quite the same for the 3 ! I didn't noticed that either, but it's less obvious than Studio K - The Sunshine Underground or The Diamond Sky - Surrender
by writing this, I just noticed something :
The Diamond Sky
The Sunshine Underground
the two opposites... coincidence ? :)

Probably is a coincidence, as The Diamond Sky was inspired by the Beatles song, and The Sunshine Underground is just a funny concept (I think, there may be another reason - ask the Chems themselves!).
I've heard of an album/band name called The Sunshine Underground. I think they came after Surrender, so probably copied it, but it may have been the other way around. I'm not sure on that

I'm not sure when the the band Sunshine Underground came out, but it's probably just quinkydink.
I've read various theories as to where the name Sunshine Underground came from and I'm looking for some solid answers but not having any luck.

Dave, please excercise a little online etiquette which includes (but is not limited to) blurting out on the Chems' official messageboard that you are downloading their albums.
If that is what you want to do, nobody can stop you but if you put yourself in the open like that, then... well, then, nobody can stop anyone from saying they want to burn you alive. X-D
Anyway - I highly recommend supporting this band (it's not too obvious, is it?haha) because it is obvious they are proud of what they do and that is from the music right down to the liner notes on the album sleeves.
How you discover the music is your choice, but imo I feel that if you dig a band enough to give them that chance when there are a zillion other bands to choose from, then it is worth it to invest - financially if you are able and more important, emotionally.
Any financial obligation you feel toward actually paying for their albums should not overwrite your chance at discovering this incredible music that has given so many people so much joy.
