the acid children track , ...well.i expected sthg better, that acid line is quite basic and typical, where s the original sounds, too much dance floor, well the sample voice is cool!.It sounds like usual techno music acid house of 90s. Hope the mix of the Cd will be better than the live version. don t u think they can do better? (acid children, the duke, otter rock, nude night...)

I may have to disagree with this:
I hear a lot going on in The Duke and Nude Night - and even though Otter Rock is in essence a small handful of loops played over and again on each other, the feeling I get is that the song is supposed to be a laid back track. I think the phase adds a lot of depth to the tune - not bad for something they pulled out of their vault after so many years!
As for Acid Childresn, also take into consideration the overall sound quality that's available through the bbc site. I gather that to have heard Acid Children live must've sounded larger than life - especially those thundering, rolling bits. It must've felt like an earthquake rumbling underfoot - all in the experience.
I think once we hear the track in cd format as it is released to us, or hear it banging out live, there will be a lot more going on musically.
So funny that we already know and refer to this song as Acid Children - wouldn't it be funny if that's not even the name of the song? ;)

I'm with iguanapunk on that one. In fact, your post completely sucked, anType!

I do think Tom and Ed care what we think to some degree. The Singles bonus disc is testimony to that. But as far as making music, you can hear it comes from within themselves so naturally they do what feels right and what pleases them - it is their music afterall. We just happen to be lucky that they make their living sharing what they create with us. I would hope, despite some fans' disapproval of the song Golden Path, they are proud of the accomplishment nontheless...

We all must respect Tom & Ed for "Acid Children". Pesonally, I'd like to thank them for not going into "The Golden Path" direction. "Acid Children" is more a 'back-to-the-roots' kind of track. Sounds very old-school if you ask me. I believe they've read our grumbling regarding 'The Golden Path' and realized, that it's not what their fans want. And it's impossible not to respect a group that cares about their fans and take their opinions into consideration.
And whirlygirl hits the bull's eye with her 'bad quality at BBC website' theory. ;)
i dont see nothing wrong with tgp, and how do you know they are not making more stuff like gp you only listened acid children, there is at least 8 or more new tracks

Talking from experience?
Most likely... I know exactly what he means.
