There's a whole bunch of satellite before-and-after photos of the tsunami affected areas on the BBC newsite. At least there was.

I watched a lot of news last week when I was sick and home from work. There's a lot of video footage out floating around out there - lots of people were on vacation and shooting home movies. There was one video in particular that was just so sad. It showed a man walking out onto the beach, obviously perplexed at why the tide was so far out. Then the wave came and the man disappeared...

The damage done is very hard to imagine, it's hard to imagine what it's like for those people in the region, and what it will be like for them trying to put their lives back together.

What I hate the most is the feeling of helplessness, being on this end of the world.

Good one acid , good one. It's good to not forget things like this - for us it's all forgotten , but the people who live there are still struggling every day.

And pakistan !! There has been another big earthquake AGAIN.
