Ok, this is comin off a night of a pretty trippy friday night after purchasing Push the Button (and devoting my TriP to PTB) ive figured it ALL out, and people are missing this about music!

why are people talking about chems reinventing dance music? like its dead or something? why does it seem like the chems are getting pushed into making something big and explordinary (good word, makes sense) ? look, the chems have a vision, theyre the chemical brothers for a reason, and theyre making this album for their reasons...theyre trippin into music, we're trippin out to their music...music is a work of art, expression of vision...every artist has their own vision, and theyre making it for them, thats how you know that music is real...now when the music starts getting heavily commercialized, artists start to lose sight of whats important to music as a collective and to the people that understand it...such as Daft Punk...Human After All is for them...not for mass media or people with money...theyre trying to explain somehting in their music...and so is every artist

im not liking where this might go, but i think the chems KNOW...they know exactly what theyre doing, and no ones gonna stop them...theyre doing what they love, and im pretty damn sure theyre not gonna conform for any kindof media....the day they change for the world, is the day the chems die...

to the people that read this, thanks for taking to the time to read it...i know i ramble sometimes, but i know about things that people need to know about...

yeah, but don't they give people that like their music an introduction what music like that is about? now you might say that their music is not IN a genre but it's still, you know, kind of dance music sometimes, so they really are giving that kinda music a push...?

anyways, i know what you mean..

I do not really get it. what is the point you are trying to make?

If this is what you mean, I think the whole "Dance music was dead but now the chems are back" thing is just media rambling. (except for "the chems are back" bit which is true) They've done the same with rock music a few years ago and then wetted themselves over the avalanche of "The XXX" bands (Strokes, libertines, vines, hives, white stripes, whatever)

So all in all, it is just music. If it is good music and people enjoy it, let's tell the media to fuck off with all their big theories. Music styles come and go, but they never "die", they just evolve into something else which might have greater or smaller impact on the public, and so on.

I wasn't trying to correct you mate, I just explained my view on those things. I didn't mean to sound hostile or anything.

It struck me when I got into psychedelic drugs how it seems that the Chems music seems to have been designed to be listened under the influence. they are Chemical for a reason. I'va had one of those "I figured it ALL out" moment more than once. But yeah, the great thing about their music is you can be struck by a psychedelic wave without any substance...
