Just got back from the Chems gig at EXIT, i still cant put myself together, it was definitely the best experience in my life!
The bitching was worth it, we got a new setlist!
So, here it is, there may be mistakes because i still am in euphoria and under the in fluence of alcohol and my head is killing me.
Galvanise
Another World
Dissolve
Horse Power (amaaazing, lots of tweaks and changes plus an excellent transition into Star Guitar, EPIC!)
Star Guitar
Swoon
Out of Control , changed for the better from ther WATN tour, Feel It and IDM samples are there as well.
Under The Influence
Satur........ nope, next was to my great surprise Setting Sun
Setting Sun
Hey Boy Hey Girl
Saturate
Believe
K D B
Escape Velocity
Elektrobank Beats plus the clown but no Acid Children
Chemical Beats

Actually, the set ends with CB, but there was an encore consisting of Leave Home and Block Rocking Beats.

I think there were more tracks, i will edit
this post when im more sober.
You're never too retarded to RAVE!!!

Hmm, we've got a month until the next show at Flow Festival, a month I'm sure will be used by Tom and Ed to perfect and rehearse the new set! COOL!

The selist from Exit seems to be different from the Balaton one.
Not many surprises but it's a very good setlist anyway ! glad to see that they tried to play HBHG later than as the opener (like in Come With Us tour).

Hi all,
I've just got back from Balaton Sound. The show was amazing, the tracklist was almost the same as at EXIT Festival:
0. intro (Tomorrow Never Knows)
1. Galvanize - still a good track to wake up the audience
2. Another World - very-very powerful
3. Dissolve
4. Horse Power
5. Star Guitar - less lasers, less lights than WATN shows, I was a bit dissapointed, but it was great to hear it again
6. Swoon
7. Out of Control
8. Under The Influence - robots are back!!
9. Saturate - glad to see the blowing balls again
10. Believe
11. Hey Boy Hey Girl
12. K+D+B - far better than the album version!
13. Escape Velocity - with changes in positive way
14. A bit from Elektrobank with the clown saying "You're all my children now!"
15. Chemical Beats
- (interlude) << there was a little technical issue here, because there was no
"pamm.... pamm..." sound, and a technican guy run up to the stage, doing some
stuff at the Bro's deck
16. Leave Home
17. Block Rockin' Beats

I was a bit surprised, because there were no interlude at the half of the 100-105 minute long show.
Altough I lost my phone during the concert, it was still worth to go. ;)

Closing the show with Block Rockin' Beats and no encore D:
I would have never expect that.
I would have expected a beautiful epic song to come on such as:
  • Wonders of the Deep
  • The Pills Won't Help You Now
  • A Modern Midnight Conversation
  • Das Spiegel
  • Surface To Air
  • The Sunshine Underground
  • The Test
  • The Private Psychedelic Reel
That's what I would prefer. It would be really amazing if they closed the show with Wonders of the Deep and then encored with The Private Psychedelic Reel.

Well, they usually do that as am encore for festivals due to time limits. Regular shows typically have 2 or more. I bet well see more at regular shows (I hope for ssu again personally )

It does seem to be an interesting choice to end a festival with Block Rockin Beats since it doesn't seem like an obvious epic-ending-Chems-gig-closer. Then again the Chems are not doing obvious things this time around since they love to keep us guessing and arguing, hehehe. Anyway I pretty much agree with what Biff says, because so far I've only seen the Chems at festivals and their sets are usually truncated. There's a lot of material they have to squeeze into a festival set... also considering Escape Velocity's length, then throw in another 10 minutes for, say, The Reel or Sunshine Underground or <insert epic Chems closer here> and that eats up 20+ minutes of the total running time right there.

It's obvious the Chems want to serve their fans well and give 'em what they want (as if we need *more* reasons to love this band!!) - it's still early days in their tour so you never know. Things might be switched up and fine tuned a bit in their set list. You might get the epic closer you've been hoping for. Or they'll make Block Rockin Beats an insane 10 minute jam session that would rival any of the obvious epic Chems' set closers. It'll be a fun night out regardless I'm sure. So turn that frown upside down Zoom Scua!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
