I wouldn't even listen to Caddy, Ed. He has an anime avatar. He'd rather listen to News and other JPop groups.

Careful there androidgeoff!
Are you insinutating that chems fan who like anime listen to Jpop.....
I am a chems and an anime fan.....but I listen to japanese bands like Boom Boom Sattellites and Ken Ishii and Mondo Grosso....
I wouldn't touch Jpop with a ten foot pole.....or would I? Does AKFG count? There JRock-ish...
But this is coming from the resident Fujirocker.

I don't know why this is turning into the "Cheer Up Ed Thread." He's just giving Caddy real talk, you never know when your favorite musician will drop in and call you out on talking smack. This is why I fear to show my face around the Poison forum, how was I to know they didn't have jobs?

Man, of course this is what happens when I don't get on for a day...

Anyways, I like the Don Diablo remix! This is probably in my Top 5 Chems-remixed-by-others songs.

lol probass - nice on bringing it back on topic.

Ed, i wouldn't worry. Many of the people i've talked to have had very uplifting comments. A common thing i hear when showing people swoon is something along the lines of "theres just something about the song that makes you feel happy and pure inside"... very reminicent of the feelings i get when i hear Hold Tight London. My scalp begins to tingle and it begins to spread down my spine. :D :D

Happy and pure inside... I like that. :)

So... what are some of you hearing in Swoon that is reminiscent of other Chems tracks?

Someone mentioned earlier on that they heard bits of Midnight Madness. I'm listening to that track right now and I'm hearing some twinkly bits in there, that are similar in Swoon.

There's a whooshy type feeling in the Swoon that reminds me of A Modern Midnight Conversation, too.

I don't mean to argue or anything like that but when I hear comments saying this Swoon song is simple, I am not sure I understand. I'm hearing a lot of depth and subtle layering in this song. Is it because the radio edit is so short?

Yea it is definitely layered. As with many chemies songs, it takes numerous listens and different moods im in to hear everything that is going on within the song. In swoon, everything rolls off each other so seamlessly, leaving no doubt that that part of the song is meant to be there. One thing that i love about the ability of the chemies is that they don't rely on a drop to be "Phat" to make the song have energy and be so epic. In swoon for example, its not a loud drop or anything but you can't help but dance around and smile :). I love that the first 1/4 of a chemies song compared to the final 1/4 always shows a distinct evolution in the song with everything working together.

Each time i listen the radio edit and the Don Diablo remix, i keep thinking of where the extended version is going to go.

For the record I think that's a really good remix, I'm usually 50/50 with liking remixes, but this one is very well done.

Swoon does seem to be dividing people. Some people I know like it but others who normally love the Chems don't get it. I personally love it, can't wait to hear the full version.

In regards to Ed's comments. Maybe it was a bit harsh of him but to have something you've created being described as 'weak' isn't too constructive. I'm an artist myself and I know how difficult and upsetting it can be if people aren't very constructive with their negative comments about your work. Not everyone has to like what you do but at least keep criticism constructive or don't bother voicing the views at all.

And I agree with Ed about youtube. I think youtube is the worst place in the world when it comes to people venting their negative opinions. It really is a vile place in that respect, there's some people out there with quite worryingly horrible views.

Huh ? I didn't see any of his posts talking about Youtube ?
Anyway, I laughed at his comment :) He bashed me in the past, so it's always fun to see that happening to others

It was in a twitter comment he posted. Think it's back on the last page somewhere...

I see you guys get me all wrong.. It's just one track.. The "swoon". As I'm not english man, I can't get very accurate with all your expressions.. And I can't get it right.. I am a chemical fan since 1998 or something.. I just said my short - very straight opinion about track. And I want to be sincere. I heard "Escape Velocity" ofcourse and it's a most beutiful thing I've ever heard in past 10 years or so.. I just didn't like "swoon" so far.. And I want to express that.

Don't care Caddy. Some people here can't see any critic about chems track...
Fortunately some are more open-minded ;)

Yeah.. You know, the internet is not that medium where yoo can honestly express what you feel about that and that - it's just peoples moods at the given moments.. I have all chems albums on the vinyl and most of them on CD.. And I think I have already contributed to them significantly as an individual.. As a fan.. I don't want to write hundreds of thousands posts to be adored among all other members.. It's just an opinion, people. Just a single person opinion about one track. I think I have a right to express myself. Anyway, I'am looking ahead of "Further" - and I can't wait..

hey Edd, I just now figured out that is really you, the chemical Edd.. I did't mean to upset you in the morning or so.. I just didn't like the track.. By the way, the word I used to describe the track as a "weak" is really strong and insulting I suppose, cause I know, that it took a long time and an effort to make.. It' really a shame for me, but as I said, it's an internet.. In reality, I see you mixing let's say at a Cocorico's club in Milan - and it's most thrilling moments to me in my daily life.. I just can't express that great taste in music you have with Tom..
