Hey Chemfags,


I want to start an Ableton orgy. Does anyone uses Ableton Live to produce their gems ? I know Benj and I do, so if there are other people in that case I think we could eradicate war and crime in the world by exchanging unfinished Ableton projects and post them here for everyone to mess with. A way to reinforce the Brotherhood I guess, except that since we're too faggy to mix blood, we'll mix our lame 4 bars attempts.

sorry for beeing that late! just finished my master thesis.

this mix is a very good one. like most of the tracks in it. afrika bambaata and white lines rocks! gives it a cool oldskool vibe. nice and familiar tracks all over. beside the track selection you also have a sense for good transitions. like your skills. was it a vinyl mix (or mp3 software)?

hope to hear something new in the future from you, mate!

Hey, awesome mix Ging! I commented on it, asking about a certain song that I think is in your Bad Tripper mix too.
PS. What is that song in your Bad Tripper mix that starts around 32-33 minutes? It kind of keeps breaking down, and at one point the main synth turns into these really pretty chimes?
PPS. You should upload Bad Tripper to soundcloud... because its awesome!

wow, chemicalmat! nice mix. is blasting thru my speakers while the sun is blasting thru my windows. good combination. i'm also into these disco retro sounds right now. i also thought i knew all the in flagranti tracks till i've heard "a little something extra" in your mix. good track selection and a nice build up. vinyl?

Thanks, I sincerely appreciate it. My vinyl days are long, long behind me although I do try to reflect a 1 & 2 feel.

Ben_J: Is the Disco Breakin' on your EP different from earlier release? It seems to be shorter and have higher-pitched vocal samples. Anyways, I think that I like the original version more.

shorter you say ? I did do a "radio edit" of it, but I thought I put the longer version. Anyway, yes, it's a version with higher pitched vocals, since everyone seemed to like it better.

The older version that I have is 4:25 long.
Perhaps it is because I have heard the older version more, but I actually prefer the lower pitched vocals. I will need to listen to the newer one a few times to see if that is why I have this bias. :geek:

Hm, I think you have a very old version then. I have an old version of the project, that is indeed 4:25, but it's not the most recent version I used to make the mixing (that I apparently lost)
