McD's is where I want to go if I want to beat up young hoodlums. It's therapeutic. But then all the calories I burn off while beating them get reabsorbed when I go through the drive-thru afterwards.
It's a habit I'm trying to stop. But society and television keeps encouraging it.

Oh man, cave aged gruyere is the bombdiggity. Had some on Saturday night to go with my Innis & Gunn oak-barrel-aged ale. A nice pairing. I can't afford to get it often, but that stuff just does it for me.
Some English stilton to go with a bit of port and some oka with my bottle of Spanish rioja also.
It twas a lovely night.

gooooood.
That's ridiculous. But I am still envious. I hope you used quality macaroni.

It was really good, but it nearly killed Whirly... she'd been doing a near vegan thing, and the enzymes and shit in the really old cheese fucked her up for a couple days.
hahaha, how could I ever forget. If I wasn't having abdominal pain I was in a cheese induced coma.
Trying to be vegan was one of the lamest things I've ever tried.
That was some damn good mac n' cheese though. I think it was aged cheese incident where I decided that being vegan was not for me.

Vegetarian is one thing. I tried it for two weeks a couple summers ago just to see if I could do it and I really enjoyed it. Opened my eyes to lots of new foods. But it's more expensive and I happen to like meat. The first day I went back to meat I had a nice, fat, juicy steak to thank my body for not collapsing on itself during the previous two weeks.
(I actually don't eat fruits or vegetables unless they come with my meal at a restaraunt, so you can imagine that going meat-free for two weeks was much more daunting of a proposition than going drug-free until the end of December.)
Veganism reminds me too much of celibacy: while I can respect the commitment, I think you're a bit nuts ... but I don't mind because there's more fresh meat for me. ;-)

A few months after I had my son, I got the hair brained idea to go vegan because I thought it would help me lose weight. I couldn't take it. It was really hard especially because stash is such a good cook. I was vegan long enough for it to have an effect on which foods I wanted to re-introduce myself to. Cheese was one of them and that aged stuff that stash made the macaroni with really knocked me on my back.
I was a vegetarian for 6 years - did not have one nibble of meat. I wasn't militant about it, I just thought I'd give it a shot and for a long time meat was a real turn off for me. I ended up gaining weight because I over compensated the lack of protein with carbohydrates and my metabolism is a bit slow, so it just wasn't working out. What inspired me to reintroduce fish back into my diet was because... well, I was sick of being so fat and plus I missed fish, too. I feel so much better now that things are under control in that department for the first time in my life, and I feel better about myself too. The only drag is I eat so few carbs that when I eat more than normal in one sitting, my body is in a funk all day. And I miss fries. A lot.

Went for Bosnian food with the girls this afternoon. Terrible, terrible service. They forgot my spinach and cheese pie, but my cevap (minced meat sausages, served in a pita with sour cream and onions) was very very good. The kebabs the girls had looked really good too.
Despite the service, I'm happy with a tasty lunch for under $5.
And 'stash guac does sound good right now.
