No, this is not another stupid thread of wich one is better.

Daft Punk is coming to Mexico City (October 31), but I can only miss 3 days of class this semester my question is:

What should I do?

a)Wait for the Chemical Brothers to announce more

dates, miss Daft Punk.

b)Go to Daft Punk and miss the Brothers if they announce a Mexico date.

c)Justice Oct 5th miss the Brothers and Daft Punk.

d)Kill myself.

Daft Punk tickets are going on presale on September 6th.

you could try asking errol if there's going to be more dates or if he knows of any further plans at the end of this year

mx, just make the plans around the info you already have. It would really suck to hold out for something that might not happen til months from now (if it happens at all).

I'd say B...like everyone said, you better work w/ what you got...Besides, Daft Punk is one mind-boggling show....And if the Chems announce a tour later in Mexico, then choose option d)

As others have suggested, go to Daft Punk and if the Chems do decide to drop down south, see if there's anything you can do to see them.

And go see Justice too. Oh hell, someone has to be irresponsible since I'm not!

I'd say :

e) ask Errol if there's a mexico date planned

Skip the Daft and wait for chems date. If there is no chems date, then go to Justice.

Go see Daft Punk. Arrange the Chems show when the date is announced.

Daft Punk rarely tour. I'd say go see Daft Punk, as you have more chances to see the Chems (who always tour a lot) than Daft Punk in the future.

my thoughts excactly. Go see Daft Punk (sorry Tom & Ed) They cancelled a gig i 1998 here in Holland and the first chance I got to see them again was 3 months ago. In the meantime I've seen the Chems 8 times.

The Chems aren't exactly stopping in Mexico every week, though. That's the thing.

mx has a difficult choice to make. If it were me I would hold out for the Chems. Then again, I would hold out for the Chems against any other band that may/may not make a stop near me. But mx is his own man. If he wants to see Daft Punk and he loves their music a lot, then I think he should go if that is what he wants to do. Daft Punk aren't stopping by Mexico every week, either.

If the Chems come along later, then mx will hopefully make the effort to see them too.

I just wish you luck with your decision, mx. You do what you have to do, roll with the punches and take things as they come if you're able...

Yes Whirly, you're rightt and I'm aware this is a difficult choice to make. But as far as I know there is no CB gig planned in Mexico at the moment, right? And as you said, it's better to plan things around known info. My point is that if you take too much time making up your mind, you might miss both opportunities. It'd be a shame to end up not going to any show at all, wouldn't it?

And with some luck mx, the Chems will stop by Mexico after the end of your semester ;)

I regret not seeing either Daft Punk or Underworld this summer. Now that I can't make the LA or Chicago Chems gigs, I feel an emotional void. A void that can only be filled by Timberlake! And I will indeed cry him a river.
