June 25th:
A source said: "Page, Plant, and Jones spoke and agreed to do the memorial concert. They are waiting for a definite date.
"And no one can quite believe it, but during discussions about the concert they all gave the green light to a tour if it all does well and they don't all fall out.
"It has been hoped for and denied for years. But this is the closest they have ever come to a reunion tour. The feeling is that this is going to happen next year."
July 27th:
The surviving members of Led Zeppelin are in talks to reform and play live in 2008, according to reports.
Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones are said to be discussing plans to tour together for the first time in almost 30 years.
August 1st:
Led Zeppelin is feeling a whole lotta love for the Internet.
The surviving members of the legendary British rock band have finally decided to join the digital age and will release the compilation album Mothership on iTunes Nov. 13.
Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones personally selected the 24 tracks on the best-of album, including "Stairway to Heaven," "Dazed and Confused" and "Whole Lotta Love."
Following the release of Mothership, the band will put out a reissue of the soundtrack to This Song Remains the Same, featuring previously unreleased material, as well as a new DVD on Nov. 20.
September 5th:
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has confirmed that the legendary rock band will be reuniting later this year.
A reunion has been strongly rumored for the last week or so and today (September 5) the singer confirmed it's definitely on.
A fan who met Plant in London today contacted NME.com explaining that the singer said he was on his way to meet bandmates Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.
"How did you find out about this?" asked Plant when asked about the prospects of a reunion show by the autograph hunter. "Well, we've got a band meeting about it this afternoon about it. There's not a lot to work out as it's only going to be one-off gig."
