I'm hearing this worked for Irishfan and his quest to get Morning Lemon live.
I'm hoping (with some support from all you other Chems heads) that Ed&Tom will pick up on this and include IT BEGAN IN AFRICA in their setlist for Dublin in August. I've never heard it live and I imagine it would be mind-numbingly, jaw-dropping pure brilliance.
I'm praying here for a miracle so any ideas how to succeed here?

i thought that it began in afrika live never lived up to its live potential. dont get me wrong, its a great track and i have plenty of fond experiences of hearing it out and about. but there is a alot of other chems tracks that they dont play that really rocked live. i must admit i thought they would have still used that sample somewhere in their sets.

and what about sunshine underground ? that track live would still totally rock. TOm and Ed should mix it with surface to air or something.
It's beautiful live, it really is. It's epic, huge in a live setting. No doubt a highlight as much as it is a musical journey that embodies the spirit of a Chems show. What a trip to have them bring it back!
It was a beautiful closer the first time I saw the Chems during Surrender. But during Come With Us it had more of an impact on me. It was smack dab in the middle of the set - you could tell just by the way they were so completely focused on this song that it was a pleasure to play live and it was something they wanted to showcase. When the song was performed, it was as though time stopped and all that was left was the music, something you could get lost in. And at intervals, there were times when the melodies drifted off into space and took you with it, then these bursting jolts of bass that literally shook the ground managed to pull you back to earth. *sigh* memories...

Just go with it and let the music take you, and don't let expectations mar your evening. Maybe Tom and Ed will have some musical surprises (or resurrections) in store, maybe they wont, but one thing's for sure and that is you're going to have a great time no matter what songs are played and no matter what order they're played in. Just roll with it and have fun!
