That's a bad idea. How do you judge trustworthiness? One forum member being a mod is enough, any more than that then I fear forum posts and threads could be edited to a certain personal judgement. I've seen it before, people go power crazy.

If I could make a small suggestion...
What if we could report a thread right from the main board? That way we could do several in a short period of time and not have to go into a potentially NSFW thread.

But the NSFW issue is one that is of concern to me as well - I log on here during my lunch breaks at work, on my work computer, and delete spam.
