Hi All

After listening to both for hours and hours now (ok 9-5 at work and I only downloaded Flip the Switch last night) I'm amazed...

The quality of both is quite superb or am I a musicaly deaf git?

Discuss...

Bob

I've d/l'ed Flip The Switch and most of the remixes sound very amateuristic.

Don't believe the hype!

ok thats one for me being musically deaf git :)

I thought they had captured the early Chem brothers culture and style in some of the tracks. Suspose it depends on how hardcore a fan you are of originals versus remixes...

Havnt herd FTS but im allways gonna think the orginal is better cause thats the way the brothers intended it to be.

I think the albums really good, so why bother doing remixes of great tracks and spoiling them?

Most of FTS is just the original PTB tracks with extra beats, synths and some chick singing. Some of the tracks sound like they were originally written a while ago and then re-hashed to fit over the top of the PTB tracks. Some are written in a different key to the original song, and clash really badly in sections (Close Your Eyes for example).

However, Come Inside is really really good and will definitely rival any professional remixes done of this track (if it ends up as a single). Galvanise is quite good also, and the start of Close Your Eyes is pretty nice too, until the rave style chords high pass filter down and the vocals come back in :?
