What about celebrating the "Chemical Brothers' Day"??!!. I know it should be (the celebration) at 24/7, but...It's d*mn cool to recognize that these Electronic Artists are candidates to have their own day, because their efforts deserve it!!!

Open, any suggestion is very welcome. My own is that it could be the date when played together by the very first time!!!

I think, my friends, that we should ask the Chems themselves...Don't you think? =D

Cheers for them, CHEERS FOR THE BROTHERS!!!

...Proclaiming the day is so necesary to celebrate a BROTHERHOOD like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, nice enthusiasm.

Sure, I'm down.

Tom, Ed, either of you want to chime in on what day you think it might be appropriate to celebrate the birth of what is known as "The Chemical Brothers"?

Yeah!

Even better if it was a national holiday!

Banks and businesses close, wear our Chem shirts, hang broken synths on our front door, cook all day with Steve Dub recipes, and go caroling 'Let Forever Be' around the neighborhood!

...or a worldwide 24 hour marathon of TSU!

From a musician's point of view, it would be hard to judge when the "first" time you've played with a certain individual was. It could mean interpreted in a literal sense where the first time was a practice in a studio or something like that. Or live gig?

Personally i'm suggesting July 4, 1993: their first ever American show. Dunno when their first European show was. Maybe that would be more suitable.

Objectively spoken; it was the day of birth of both.. If either T or E hadn't been born, there wouldn't have been the chemical problems. Ah brothers.

I'd rather like to know when they get their first Nobel Prize as the leading heads of audio chemistry.

Just back on the forum from a grueling semester...

But back to the topic... I guess the correct date would be the first time they joined together to make music.

Another day could be when they get their name of "Chemical Brothers" officialy. Keep suggesting and nice idea from inchemwetrust, because when the date could be announced "officialy" (even by the chems), it will turn for us into a holiday!!!

Don't you think it is so funky groovy???

Still saying that we should ask the BROTHERS themselves. =)

And thanks for all your posts with lots of ideas!!!

How about the day they met? You know, all those years ago at Manchester Univeristy. I mean surely one of them must have an air-tight photographic memory and can remember the exact date and time their paths first crossed! :P Kidding, kidding...

In more detail of course!

Like did Tom accidently bump into Ed in the hallway during classes or maybe both were studying at the same desk in the library?

Or maybe Ed and Tom, at the exact same moment, went reaching for the same vinyl copy that was left at the Eastern Bloc record shop?

All propositions welcome, thanks for posting!!

So difficult to decide when!!! But it's so cool to imagine that even the CHEMS would be interested in their own day, so... The last word will be theirs. Don't yo think, my friends???

 That was kind of mean but I couldn't help but laugh, iggy.

OK - first one to pass out from holding their breath waiting for Tom and Ed's last word gets a virtual cookie.

Man, i'm just saying that celebrating the CHEMS in their own day would be one of the coolest things, i'm not demanding a miracle or b·llsh·t like that, i just asked for your ideas. I also know that the BROTHERS might be the last in the suggestions topic, but what i really mean is that they should be the ONES to decide when to celebrate their OWN day!!!

Just don't get punk, iguana!!!Just kidding

Listen to the CHEMS and stay cool!!!

Steve Dub's Recipes all day, and beers, so much music... Sounds great, doesn't it???!!!

Aw, Iggs, but we shit all over every other noob who comes here!

I read the enthusiasm, saw it wasn't another request for chems music, a sample, for the chems to play in my backyard, so I gave it a chance. It's not -that- bad of an idea to have for us fanboyzandgirlz.
