I just bought this last week in California, released already in the States as Profound Sounds Volume 3, but I haven't listened to it yet.
It looks absolutely top-notch and the Winkman can definetly spin. I've loved him both times I've seen him live, esp. last weekend.
I can't wait to listen to it!

Just finished listening to Disc 1 (Subconscious).
All I can say is: 8O
Wicked package, man! Starts off very deep, techy and minimal, building a lot of anticipation, a Hardfloor tune, a couple thumpers, and then......... Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place (Wink remix)!!!
Absolutely stunning mix into EIIRP, which is just jaw-dropping. The next tune is a fantastic stomper and then......... Wink - Higher States of Consciousness (Matthew Johnson remix) !!!! ACIIIIIEEEEED! Again, killer, killer track. Finishes off with a very nice, minimal Matthew Johnson track. And that's just disc one.
I went for a nice long drive while listening to this one, through some beautiful back country roads, twisting and turning over hills and small towns and it was the perfect environment for this stunning disc.
Can't wait to listen to Disc Two (Conscious).
Get this one guys, get this one. I give it the Darkstar "one penis up."

I think overall its very good, but i think nthe first cd has way to much minimal, towards the end its really enjoyable and the second cd is top notch.
There was more minimal than I might have expected otherwise, but that's really how he plays out his sets these days. There was at LEAST 30 minutes of deep, minimal stuff before we heard the first wiggly acid line at Avalon. My first real exposure to minimal, I guess, and I don't mind it.

Sounds a bit like Jeff Mills :?
He was alright, but it wasn't hangover music, that's for sure.

The minimal was good for just getting into a bit of a groove and upping the anticipation level. Because once he got into the wiggly-wiggly, the place exploded.
Honestly, I was really impressed by Josh Wink. The Radiohead remix and Higher States of Consciousness were mindblowing.
