thank you everyone who helped me out, jeanie, whirly, thomas, the guy in the cloakroom, that chick on the speaker.....but most of all.....

[quote]

Sooooo....how do i feel now. Lets see. I know i'm gonna get a major comedown kickin in soon , i'm tired and sad this amazing night is already over ... BUT!!!

IT WAS AMAZING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

So , around 5.30 i'm picking up Mips , Irish fan and Mips and mine lovely friends Luna and Glyn. Offcourse Luna and I stll have to fix our party look so around 6 were heading to spoons were we met up with other forum peeps. It was lovely to see you all again , we enjoyed not as bad off a meal i thought it was gonna be in Spoons , some chatting and some drinking , and aroud 9 30 some off the crew was already heading to Turnmills. LOVELY to be un Turmills again - met up with Grahame and Stix and Chemcal-Si there , lovely people , and were going down to confiscate the speakers ;) At this point Anil Chawla was dj'ing and as more and more people came in the party was already booming at 11 with loads of hands in the air !!! Anil you're wicked - awesome set and really cool and funny guy. Great to meet you!

I think Nathan Detroit came than playing Get Yourself High! Thanks for that zip of champagne , i was quite thirsty !!

So were all standing on the speakers and it was already quite busy but not crazy yet. At this point Tom and Ed were also in the d booth and the excitement was starting to come really bad! ( But that probably also had to do with some party favours i took )

Now as you all know i never remember what they played - but at Midnight they dropped a new track. It was one i also heard at Summercase and it was BEAUTIFULL - SOOOOO AMAZING !!!!!

Perfect midnight tune with confetti coming from the cealing , lots of lasers and strangers hugging and kissing eachother.

At this point it was getting crazy busy on the speakers with people who desperatly wanted to make pics of Tom and Ed. Very nice of them to put up with that - it must get anoying after a while....I dont have any pics of the bro's , sorry boys and girls - in fact i dot have many pics at all , i was way too busy partying my ass off and i didnt wanna be Aannoying by sticking my camera in Tom ad Eds face. I know some of you have great pics ( Chemical_Si !? ;) Lucy and youre friend...?! ;)) So please please please post them !!

Anyway , i'm starting to buzz quite hard now and i had no more water so i decided to just get on the dancefloor. Bad idea. It was so busy that i felt isplated and claustrofobic and i kno discover being on mud and being in an overcrowded club is not a good idea. I went to the backroom where there was lots more space and it was going off there - i find my friends dancing there , lots of hands in the air , lots of people bouncing around , lots of huuuuge black eyes and lots of happy new year kisses from stangers.

At this point i am feeling totally fucking on top of the world , better than ever , i had space , water, my good friends having a wicked time , and ..... EBW 8 and 9 !! Oh people....people !!! FUCK!!! I almost cried if i wasn't so dehydrated. Ebw 8 at this point on a big soundsystem when youre buzzing real hard is like the closest thing to heaven there is. When those drums kick in litteraly the whole club was shaking. Tere was not a single person who didn't had some sort of look on their face off " o my god what a night !! " , there was not a single person without hands in the air - everybody just went crazy , it was almost a religues experience man , if i think about it now it sends shivers down my spine -those drums and synths and a 1000 of beautifull happy people was one of the most amazing moments ive had in my life !! Oh Tom and Ed how is it possible than people can make such amazing music !!

So - they Plated 9 too. OH FUCKING HELL MATES!!! Oooooooh this tune just blowes you way , it's a Tornado in the club , it's big winds coming trough when it sarts with that wicked sirene-like sound , and the beat !!! Pom pom pom POM POM souned so good in the club , SO EVIL AND DIRTY , So twisted and demented , it's saying " }:-) DANCE BITCHES }:-) " and oh , you WILL dance !!!

Ebw Hoops and Ebw 7 and another EBW aswell were all fucking wicked to. I cant remember a time when i went so ape - i didnt care about how i looked , i didn't care bout anything else than being there with my friends , with the music , with a 1000 beautifull people , with Tom and Ed !!

Great tunes , GREAT tunes , The party was going off like firework , the club was booming and exploding and shaking and breaking and bouncing , and so were we !!

But - after all amazing things comes an end , so after a remix off SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THESE with the whole club singing along, around 2 30 or 3 or so caged baby came on. I would enjoy enjoying every tune give t me at that moment but you could def tell Tom and Ed were't behind the decks anymore - so i'm going to sit for a bit and i find Tom talking with some forum members! Offcourse , happy and buzzing as i was , i was very hyper and we all had a wicked convo with Tom. What a lovely fella , great laugh he is , and an amazing musician too - wicked to talk about Englsih geography , Japanese People , Going ape to EBW 8 AND 9 , the freezing weather in Brighton , the new album ( No pressure boys ;) ) my lovely friends Whirly , Stash their son Connor and their turtles - Tom really seemed to like you guys , saying you a really cool famliy or something in that direction. I don't remember all excact things said , everything is quite vague for me , i just mainly remember a really good feeling :D

Well , around 4 Tom has to go back to his family ( Thanks for letting him go on NYE! ) and were all agreeing that " yes , he is a wickd man"

A lot of us ae hanging on the couches at this point while Justin is playing EBW 8 and 9 - Joslyn comes running to us " WHAT R U ALL DOING HERE !!! THE ANIMAL SONGS !!! " But at that moment i was enjoying the couch and my friends around me a lot X-D Everything was beautifull and i made a good effort to kiss and hugg everybody X-D Needles to say - i usually love people too , but those Chemicals made me love everybody like never before. I was especially happy to have my friend Luna there at that moment!

So we See Ed wondering around an we had a quick chat wit him. What an amazing person he is for getting Brian on the list !! That is really sweet Ed , thanks so much. At the question " Are you going to Brighton for Fatboy ?! " Ed pulls a face that was said " NO FUCKING WAY!" , wishing us good luck to put up with that cold. ( More about that later ;)) Ed went to dance - and so should we but the couch was still so comfy !! And we had to leave soon too - Were going to Brighton for FATBOY !!!

My MATE Ed was already in our hotel at thi moment - he was a bit tired - and i went to Brighton with Mips , Chebbers and their lovely LOVELY friends. The train ride was a bit messy ad so where things at Chebbers place but after a few hours of " Sleep " ad some fruit and toast with salt , i am up for a party.........!!!! And lt it be that there is a party with 20 000 people round the corner !!!! ;)

Aroud 5 30 were leaving , BUT WHAT HAPPENED ?!?! IT WAS RAINING !!! Oh fuck we thought - It was rainig quite hard and the wind was horribly cold. We walked to the party and more people were leaving than coming in....as we all had tickets anyway an selling them would give us 10 pounds for 8 tickets , so we decided to check it out anyway. We still had hope - but we were all soaked and freezing and i was buzzing ( again ) too so that was not a great combination. Mips had said before " If he plays Fedde Le Grand i'm outta here! " ad whats the first tune he played.....?!?! Exactemundo. Only this was the " Put youre hand up for Brighton" version. After 15 minutes of being in the party ( That amazingly was really going off in the front ) we decided to leave.

But u know what , it didnt matter. It was all quite funny and i was feeling very warm and fuzzy inside , and we already had a great party the night before so it was all good!

So my mate Ed and had to get back to London , so had to say bye to Chebbers ad Mips and all their really lovely friends - If some of u read this - you are all wicked people , i feel very comfortable with you all !!

In the train something funny happened - i am talking Ed about how happy i feel , about how my arms and legs were all warm and thingly , well basicly about how fucked up i was - and i'm starting so " sing " Ebw 8 and to make a litlle dance with it. I see a guy laughing so i'm starting to make a conversation , and suddenly he goes , IN DUTCH " You can speak Dutch to me too! " So this guy has heard evrything i said about me being off my face - but he was really cool and we had a wicked convo wih him.

So , AMAZING New Years Eve and New Years day i had.

The MUSIC , the PEOPLE , my FRIENDS , all of it will forever be i my memory. I will always remember the drums in EBW8 ad how i felt t that moment.....!!! Now i feel rather bad , my muscles i my neck are extremely tense and i see flashes of lght every time. I need some food!

For all of you who weren't there , you were in my memorie the whole night. Esp Whirly , Stash , Darkstar and Iggy - In our thoughts you were all there !!

Thanks again Tom and Ed - once again u gave us the best Tunes we could possibly wish for , thanks for taking the time to chat to us , thanks for making music that changed my life!

LOVE IS ALL!

( Ps , PICTURES will come later , please everybod post youre pics !!)

Jeanie I knew I could count on you for a fantastic review! 8) Thanks so much for taking the time to post even though your body is in so much pain. And thanks for the additional info irish fan!

I am so happy that you all had a great time and got to hear another brand new track dropped at midnite, and of course got to hear the new Electronic Battle Weapons tearing the place apart. Was wicked cool that Tom took the time to chat with you all for so long and that Ed seemed to be enjoying himself too. Here's to an exciting 2007!

Hi all,

I've read the forums for quite a while now but have never actually posted! I'll blame it on my shy disposition. Anyway, I was at Turnmills the other night too, I travelled over from Ireland with some friends. I would have introduced myself to you but I didn't know what you all looked like!

Maybe some of you saw the guy pulling the yellow smiley face balloon down from the roof after Tom and Ed released it from the DJ box. Well, eh, that was me! My shyness was given a chemical kick into touch!

What a night! My favourite bits of the Chems' set were the Out of Control/Don't Fight it, Feel It mash up, EBW8 and Hold Tight London to finish the night off. I got talking to Tom after accosting him for a photo (sorry, Tom but I had to make my mates who didn't travel jealous!). I asked him if they'd be playing a festival date in Ireland (like Oxegen) on the tour or if they'd be playing in the Point. He said they probably wouldn't be playing Oxegen but that they really wanted to play Electric Picnic, which is by a better festival by far anyway, IMO. They heard the shitty stuff that went on at this year's Oxegen, like stealing and stuff, and it turned them off a bit.

Thought I'd share it with you folks! Happy New Year!

glad to hear you also had a right night.

This might seem like a cop out, but there's no way I can write a review of this event, words simply wouldn't cut it. I'd like to say thanks to Aaron, Lucy & Jeanie for helping me out at various points in the evening, and I'd also like to say that I'll never EVER listen to Hold Tight London the same again.

PHOTOS :)
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Haha thats it!

What a night guys! Whoa. I think Jeanie has summed it up much better than i could ever do. Was good to see you fellas from the forum, some for first time and some again.

As Jeanie has mentioned, the comedowns have landed and i am feeling rough as expected! Was out the two nights before the NYE event too so i have 3 days worth of comedown hitting hard.

Danced hard during the event and the chems were by far the best moment of the event. I'm a huge fan of Justin Robertson but by the time he arrived and played his set i was too E-tarted and tired!

Joselyn i think it was? Did you enjoy your extra boost for the night?

Chemicalfan - No problem with the help! I was with those fellas chilling but had seen you looked like you needed a chill and a chat so i came to rescue lol!

Lovely meeting you irish nutters too (you know who you are!!)

My second chems gig and first chems night out with the forum and i loved every minute of it. Whens the next event?!

I will check out my photos and post some soon. Just need to get some more rest first!

Does anyone know the name of the fella who was very tall with the blue tshirt and the nice SLR camera during the night? Acidchildren mentioned he was a member on here and i wouldn't mind asking him a few questions and seeing his photos!

Oh and RAVINGMARTIN - Was lovely to meet you and your mate. Apologies if i was chatting you two to death upstairs or something at 3am! I have even remembered to get that music you mentioned i should try listening to. Hope you both enjoyed your night!

Thank you so much Tom and Ed. A brilliant night and words will never come close to describing it!

Truely an awesome night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After pushing and shoving my way to the front, 3 hours almost killed me but it was totally worth it! Btw I was the big asain guy in the blue top right at the front, i think i might have met some of you who knows. I should come on this forum more often, its pretty cool. I took over 100 pics of that night so i'll be posting some on here soon.

Just thought i'd post my two cents

Happy New Year

Glad it was fantastic for all of you. I thought about it a lot until I got caught up in my own messy evenings.

Hope to hear a few more reviews with a little more detail (or at least get the details over MSN!) in the next few days when everyone's returned mostly to reality.

Sounds simply amazing. Big props to Tom & Ed for putting on another amazing NYE party at the 'mills.
