We've found with our xbox, we'd rent a lot of games (except for the Star Wars games which are now collecting dust since my son got his Nitendo DS) It sure beat dropping all that dough on something that might not get played all the way through... or worse, something that only had maybe 5 hours worth of game play.

Another good deal is to just hold off for a month and get a used copy of a game.

One game I've been wanting to play is my old Wipeout XL, it's such a great driving game, and you can't beat thesoundtrack - but I got rid of that old Sony Playstation console years ago.

That won't be possible with the PS3 though - each game registers itself on the console and online, so the game won't work in any other unit. So I've heard, and it makes sense as Sony are a bunch of tools anyway

Sony are getting gayer and gayer... Who will want a $600 video game system with no rumbling, X360 graphics, games that you are condemned to keep (and we all know the PS2 had the most crappy games) and that could wake up someone in the night with it's fan ?...

The perfect argument against the Sony PS3, it's good to know these things. If we were to get another console it's going to be the Nintendo. I dig the sweet graphics of the XBox 360, but the set up is more than I want to spend plus they run really hot (which is why they sell extra cooling fans for the units). But the console wouldn't be for me, it's for the 2 boys in my family. :P

More than likely! My son's DS is rather intruiging but I have to hold back. I've been holding back since playing Quake II on the PC because I get really bad and obsessive. Once I get sucked into a game, that's the end, I am dead to the world as the world is dead to me. Bye bye whirlygirl for hours and hours on end.

Lily Allen - Smile

Am I the only person in the UK who doesn't like this song?

I hate Lily Allen, not just her songs. Who the fuck is she to put shit on every artist she can? Try singing more than one note! Actually, you can't really call what she does as singing, she sounds like she just sought of breathes loudly in tune. In the same key all the time though. Very forgettable, gone in 3 months. NEXT!

My car. My car broke. My car broke again.

Timing belt snapped on the way home today, will be very lucky if I have no bent valves or holes in pistons. Thus, if I don't have to completely replace or rebuild my head, I will consider myself content. Otherwise we're looking at $1500 in repairs.

It will be out of commission for at least a couple weeks. Likely longer.

Oh, and did I mention I was planning to pay this car off in two weeks? Fucking piece of shit.
