Bugger...now why did I get the feeling this would happen?
Oh well, but I will be relying on you Sir B to find me a spare! And I know you'll do it!
If I was arriving any earlier than the day of the concert I would search and comb the streets. Guntree isnt really coming up trumps at the mo unfortuneatly.
Does the Sydney Morning Herald have a For Sale section?
But do you think I may get a touted ticket at a reasonable price? $150 IS utterly ridiculous tbh.
Keep looking me boy! Hehee!

I think I have a ticket! I messaged a guy off Gumtree who had 2 seated tix for under cost. He replied saying he had sold them already but has offered me a floor ticket for cost!
£45!!! The Sydney Entertainment Centre are thieves!!! Shocking price but hey...keep your fingers crossed for me I get this!
Every time I hear a Chems tune be it in a pub, on my laptop or on Masterchef...!!! I get all tingly and understandably a very large and silly grin appears on me face.
A wee bit gutted about missing out on Turnmills but I have the memories of NYE 07 still fuzzy in mind. :-)

I am on the case with lots of Chems tix now. Just messaged a lass who is selling 2 for $55 each as she is on the guest list. Badge, keep an eye on that spare tho. At this rate I dont know what will be happening but I AM going dont worry about that!
Bad juju on the Melb ticket but keep watching the skies my friend.

GET IN!!! Those cheapo tix are mine!!! I am the cheap ticket MASTER!!! My day is getting better by the minute.
My 30th birthday present from my best chum she just gave me is a Seaplane flight around Sydney, now this...next thing I know...I'll get the job at the Aus Museum after tomorrow nights interview!

Hey Whirly
Thanks for the good luck. This will be my 4th museum job on the trot, I am just going global now! Been at THE Natural History Museum for the past year and a half. :-)
Diligence, persuasion, the art of blag, pleading texts and emails, sob stories and an utter love for the Chems seems to be working for me with the tix! Haha!

In a word - religeous.
I started keeping a setlist but lost track halfway through and decided I didn't want to waste precious chems time writing stuff into my phone. Looks pretty similar to the ones they've played in the past few months though. I avoided setlists, so this new order (no pun intended) was a really awesome surprise, I really liked it.
However, because they were only playing for 1.5 hours they left Das Spiegel and TSU off when they did the encore which after looking at other setlists I now find really dissapointing. At the time I thought it was kinda cool, a little bit political (the police, war images with "brother's gonna work it out" heheh) followed by an all out classic to round off the night, but.... no TSU :(
Still, it was fucking amazing. I think Believe did for me what TSU/TPPR would have, it brought up some incredibly strong emotions about hope, believing in yourself and humanity, never losing sight of what you hold dear and the power you have to make the world better. Awesome. And at the total other end of the spectrum I was so ecstatic that they played Nude Night, totally wasn't expecting it, it went off. And of course every other track they played (Temptation/Star Guitar was amazing yet again)!! But Believe was the clearcut winner, I had no idea it did that live...
Anyway, I feel like arse today so I'm gonna rest, but rest assured The Chems are still doing it and are still by far the best live act I've ever seen. They inspire so much, not only in a musical sense but just life in general, they promote living your life to the full, making the most of it and making the world better (without being preachy). And if there's anything that drug addled kids want soaked into their brains it's this. Tom and Ed, I salute you (or should I say, genuflect?)
