I know a very very small amount of friends that think lesbians are disgusting too (but really, that must be 0.001% of the male population)

They should try getting cuddled by two lesbians. That's pretty enjoyable 8-)

I love fags
because I am a san franciscan
if you're dissing on my homos
then this censure's what you're risking
(I'm insisting on containing my temper but listen up):
you shouldn't ought to be intolerant about who queers like to fuck!

fags are great, they've got hundreds of uses
you can see them on TV explaining what puce is
abstruse is the world but very simple is the homo
he or she is anyone who's keen to do another one more so
than the opposite, follow?
fags are great 'cause almost every single one swallows
or so I'm led to believe, lesbians also I've heard of,
not to mention non-gender-identified spivaks seeking nerd love,
and I've spurned just about everything there is
cause I was born here, and here's where I live
here i give you this advice, love a fag today
either up close and personally, or from far away
see fags are gay, and gay's a good adjective
it means like happy and high, but you had to just
shy me away from the topic of my fag-love
something maybe that you're lacking in? don't get mad just
cause you don't have such a big heart as frontalot
you could love fags too, you already think dykes are hot
why not come on down to the street fair,
(there's) asses in chaps plus rough trade to meet there,
some of whom been barebacking it in back alleys for years
yo I promise if you visit you could meet some queers
and if you love even just one, hooray
if you don't, well I hope you enjoyed your stay
and I hope you go on your merry way
with the chorus of my song slowly turning you gay

and you don't love fags, this much is apparent
you're having nightmares about them every time you get your hair cut
you stare what you suspect could be a queer man
in the eye, in the mirror, enzymes coming out your fear gland
he's got scissors near your eardrums
you might lose your hearing you don't watch it with these queer ones
and here comes your presidential cheerleader now
so disturbed by the marriages in my home town
that he's got to take the tip top law in the land down
scribble on it: "I hate homos, big bad frown."
put it back up, be like "what? it's better!
y'all were with me a second ago
when I said that marriage was threatened
and it was! under siege by these villains
can you believe they wanted to gang up and have children?
there would be an army of them, teeming and thronging
tempting every American to give in to forbidden longing
i thought they couldn't reproduce, that was their weakness!
now what are we gonna do? they're gonna seek just
treatment under the law, dammit that's like saying
it's okay to be gay! or a lesbian! hey man,
you can not say that. society would crumble and fall apart."
i'll think about that on the BART
gladdening every inch of the ride
to be on the way to the where I reside
not just a place where I keep my stuff
but the spot got plenty of the kind of person that I love

I really have nothing more to add here, even though there is so much I want to say - but at this point anything I write in rebuttal is just lecturing and echoing what others have already mentioned better than I could have.

I'll just say... It's hard to make a tolerable, non-knee jerk response approach in the face of what can be seen as intolerant. And it's hard to apologize sometimes, and keep one's cool when the heat is on especially when you're outnumbered, and young. It's easy to hide behind a computer but it takes courage to 'come out'. I am really impressed by the openness and honesty here, and for better posts or worse more in-your-face posts, the loving approach of the group conscience -for lack of a better term.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

I suppose the point is, no amount of reasoning at that point in my life could have made me feel comfortable around homosexuals. However, I think opinions of a certain group of people change if one has the opportunity to get to know them, however cliche that may sound.

I don't think I could have said that better myself. I'm in the exact same position in my life. The society I live in, homosexuality is made fun of. "Dude, you're gay" is a common insult. I don't really know about life outside of this, so Jeanie is correct, that's just how I was raised - it's the norm for me. Not that I think all gays are awful people, gay people are undoubtably just like you and me, I just have never had the opportunity to meet one.

They're perfectly normal people, you've probably talked to a few and not known it.

I think anyone who knows so many arguments against homosexuality at such a young age must be really, really tormented by forbidden longings that his fuckwit, right-wing, hoosier, christian retard parents have told him will send him to hell.

just my opinion, of course.

whitenoise, it's cool if you're gay, we will still accept you.

Okay, that was very funny. But my opinions are my own, not spawned from my parent's - Jeanie's right again, I am smart as hell (and humble about it too! lol). All those arguments, I was defending myself as best I could, and to be honest that's the most philisophical I've ever been (plus we're doing persuasive essays in english class right now, so I'm kinda in the zone in that regard). And, sorry if I'm dissapointing you, Mippio, or anyone else, but I'm as straight as can be. Girls are wicked awesome. Which I suppose leads me to:

Does your disliking include lesbians too?

Alright. The truth: Yes, I do think what lesbians do is wrong. But, I do have to admit they are really very hot.

Ben_j said:

Extemely accurate statistics.

Onto another topic...

Madpooter, look, you give very good arguments, and I totally respect that and would reply if I could, but (I'm not trying to back out of anything) I don't think I can answer to any of those points at the age and life experence that I'm at right now. I can say on three that I was merely stating what was natural, not what people may sexually desire. I never said it was wrong, only that it wasn't normal behavior. You took it in the wrong context there. Also, Profunk said it better than I could have when he replied to your number five. Kudos to him.

Lastly, this is one hell of a forum. We've got a ton of very intellegent people here and, personally, this really is the best forum I've frequented.

Weird. I just went through this thread to see if maybe there were posts that got unapproved or whatever, but I didn't see anything. I'm not able to see what posts have been deleted. I haven't deleted any posts or edited anything since the Escape Velocity audio rip incidents. So I'm baffled.

I did notice earlier today that this site is acting a bit buggy when you access it on mobile. There's some strange format error message that occasionally runs in the background... When did you make the post, and did you make the post via your mobile or on your computer?

That wasn't mippio you little fucktard, it was me. Mippio's the nice one. And I don't care how smart you think you are (it's real easy to be smart in the midwest, where the average IQ is right around room temp) I believe children should keep their mouths shut when grown-ups are talking

Shoot, sorry dude, didn't mean to mix you two up. It was a long post, okay?

The average IQ around here is my shoe size, thank you very much, and listen, to get things straight, my IQ is 145. I know you don't care about how smart I think I am, I'm just saying that I actually am.

I'd eloquently reply to your "I believe children should keep their mouths shut when grown-ups are talking" with the ever-used "Children need to stand up for themseves" argument, but that'd just send this topic into another philisophical torrent and I don't think anyone here is in the mood for that.

It may very well be that your level of intelligence is not up for debate.

However, a high measure of intelligence is by no means a substitute for lack of humanity.

I hope you continue to consider the ideals of compassion and arguments for supporting love in each and every persons' life, no matter what form that love may take.

What's your IQ, Stash? Just curious, is all.

If you don't know, take a 15 minute test: www.simple-iq.com

I'd like a screenshot of your results.

Assuming an online quiz is a legit source of measuring IQ is gonna cost you a few points.

wow. I did not expect this topic to get this much attention!

As others have mentioned, the environment you grow up in would play a significant role in determining your views on particular issues. Personally i have no issues with homosexuals or homosexuality. Unlike where you live whitnoise, homosexuality is celebrated each year with the gay and lesbian mardi gras in sydney. People of all backgrounds and orientations participate in these festivities.

At the end of the day, we are all humans. In an ideal world, we would all be treated equally.

As for this arguement about IQ's. Come on, really? Who gives a shit man. It's like bragging about your dick size.

I'd like to finish on a good note by aggreeing with Satur8. This truely is the best brotherhood to be apart of, as we are able to discuss differences but not let these differences get in the way of our forum love

I don't mean to step on feet but anyone who developed strong opinions on politics at a young age has probably had imposed on them what we'll politely call "cognitive hygene"
you're not supposed to cate about that stuff yet, wait until late high school when they teach you reasoning/critical thinking, if such a thing is still taught.
