Thom Yorke is to release the controversial "Harrowdown Hill" as first single from his long-awaited solo album, it has been announced.
The Radiohead frontman releases "The Eraser" next Monday, July 10, and will follow it with the single on August 21.
"Harrowdown Hill" is the name of the location where Dr David Kelly, an employee of the British Government's Ministry Of Defence, was found dead after a media storm surrounding him.
Kelly is understood to have committed suicide and the track in question finds Yorke suggesting: "Don't walk the plank like I did, you will be dispensed with?"
"Harrowdown Hill" will be released on 12" vinyl only and includes an extended mix of the track plus new songs "Jetstream" and "The Drunnk Machine".
