according to erol alkan forum
it was actually a gift from the chemical brothers. its one of thier own edits which they have been using recently. its a fusion of dont fight it, feel it and out of control, and unfortunatly, is not going to be released. i think i am the only dj to have it other than themselves.

its fucking amazing isnt it?

so seems tom and ed have another few bootlegs on the go in there sets and this one like a new one. only other ones haven't heard yet is the smokebelch re edit they have done.

Yeah they have to ! And it would be great to release a B-Sides and unreleased tracks album, such as HBHG (97 version) and... Actually it's the only tune that comes to my mind :)

I'm pretty sure that doesn't actually exist. I think the story goes they presented the track to her/her record company and they withdrew from the deal. So the Chems finished it up into a track in it's own right. Kinda like the 'Dig Your Own Hole' situation (how can the same s*** happen to the same guys twice??)

the eve version does exist in a bbc interview ed and tom say that without there knowledge she recorded vocals over the track and then presented it to emi and then the chems decided if it was going to be released they would thinker with it themselves so they did there own version with her rap on it so there is two versions about and three if you count the normal version of it

here is where they mention it in a jo whiley interview

Did you try any other vocalists out on the record that didn't make it?

E: We had a thing with Eve, she took one of our tracks that was a B-Side to 'It Began In Afrika' and they did their own version but we want to get it back and do our own version. It's a nice thing to have sitting on your desk!

That is on the asaragi dj and WMC dj set, it's pretty good, I think the asaragi is on Stephen's site.

Thinking about doing Trash on January 2. A day off on NYD (sorry Xpress-2), then Trash on the Monday. We'll see, though.
