Seriously, I had no idea that Daft Punk could get that... fierce...

All these years I've listened to their albums and simply passed it off as good house...

But after seeing them live and listening to some of their old sets, I have a profound new appreciation for them.

i would go, but i already promised myself to save up for a 2007 Coachella (roam the desert) trip.

and speaking of Coachella, has anyone been to the "Salton Sea" ? From the pictures I've seen it looks pretty creepy, but in the cool way.

I haven't been to Salton Sea in years, and I've only been in passing. It is a strange place from what I remember.

Dude, this buddy of mine's a wanna be film maker, he goes out there and shoots all kinds of footage of rotting trailer parks, the salt flats, abandoned cars... it's a really bizare place, the result of a wierd irrigation accident.

and to think, this was going to be the next huge celebrity hangout X-D

the worst part about the place is that the most toxic river in the US feeds the lake/sea, "New River" http://en.wikipedia....28California%29

I don't suffer in the desert unless the brothers are playing... there's precious few other acts that I'd make that trek for, but my tastes are so refined and rarified, I doubt any of those acts would condescend to play out there.
