Ok I´m currently enjoying a lot Splinter Cell remixed. Lots of special sounds and details. From that list you posted ben-j i love Bonobo and The Herbaliser (time ago I was addicted to Very Mercenary). And that Zero dB artists aren´t spanish. I don´t know any Spanish artist doing this kind of music. I´ll keep exploring.

After more listens, it grew on me a bit... But still, very very different from anything Amon Tobin did before.

Brilliant! That's exactly what I wanted, I did not want another Foley Room even though it's an epic album.

every album was different, but here there are a lot of things that differ *too much* from what he did. The main thing that bugs me is the lack of complex beats. There are almost NONE ! While it was one of his speciality, it is here limited to the minimum...

On the other hand, Horsefish was one of the tracks I liked the least on Foley Room, and he did a "live version" that added a quite simple beat, but it made it one of my favourite tracks ever.

On the other other hand, the tracks on ISAM that could use a "live version" with a beat would remain quite poor...

EDIT :
I forgot to mention the best news of the day : Ninja Tune will release a recording of the London Metropolitan Orchestra playing Amon Tobin !
And I found more videos of this :

So, after the leak, Ninja decided to release the digital version early. It is now available. Read more here :
http://ninjatune.net...e-digitally-now

I picked the wav version, and will buy the CD when it's out.

EDIT :

wow, it sounds much much better than the crappy 192kbps mp3s from the leak :)

I liked their post, it's fair and true. 23rd May isn't that long away, and I'm ok with that cos I need to be in a dark mood to listen to his stuff and i'm happy go lucky at the moment

the album is not as dark and gloomy as you may think it is

Listen to the full album on Soundcloud :

http://soundcloud.co...obin/sets/isam/

interesting quote from Amon on his forum, replying to my questions on vocals :

Quote

all the vocal stuff on the album is my own voice synthesized and shaped into female vocals. it's an extension of the way many sounds were treated on the album. recorded, synthesized then built into things that aren't "real".

one of the problems with the leak is we weren't allowed the opportunity to put this kind of thing in any context as we had intended on the run up to the release.

Ahh I really feel for the guy now, I have never cared but I see him in his dark room at night crying listening to Foley Room.

I wont watch those videos as they contain spoilers. So does the ISAM gig contain music from other albums?

Like:
Journeyman (Great start to the album)
Goto 10 (the bass! WUB WUB!)
Piece of Paper
Calculate
Surge
Wooden Toy
Kitty Cat (Find myself singing this weird one)
Bedtime Stories (goes insane near the end)
One Last Look (Bonus track)

Not sure about:
Night Swim
Dropped from the Sky
Lost Found

On a whole, the album is a whole lot of fucking noise. Takes a bit of time to get used to it and get past the headaches and ear hemorrhaging. I like it though, it's different, and I prefer his earlier work but he needed to make this album to show what he can do like nobody else can.

Went to the Roundhouse on Friday in London to see Tobin perform ISAM. The best visuals I've ever seen! It was incredible. The sound wasn't too bad, really felt the wub wubs.

A good view of the visuals from Montreal
