i'm really not being all high and mighty, i just think it is a terrible remix.
from any point of view

The full on mp3 encoding of the stream is artifacting a lot but listening to this so far hasn't yielded much for me. More on the Ableton mashup tip than remix, it's a bit throw-away. The arpeggio near the end is an odd choice. Yeah im not getting this, and the stream encoding isnt doing much to make those drums sound any better place in the mix either. Moving on.

I can't say I was wow'd by the remix. It's not a bad effort, but I don't know if I'm getting it. I'm nearing up to my 2nd listen right now.
Overall I didn't find it bad. But I'm just not... wow'd right now. I didn't find the sampling Jess Jackson bad, but it's a tad bombastic (which isn't always a bad thing). Maybe my biases are coming into play but the overused Jesse Jackson samples are a bit over the top for a song that already says enough in its original form as is. My first thoughts were how "crowded" this Stanton remix sounded to me. I felt there was almost too much going on drums-wise and it gave the song a cluttered feel. I guess for what it's worth, the remix isn't lacking.
Taking in account what Kermit just said, it seems this Stanton remix is a sort of mash up as well, which could explain the clutter I'm feeling.

Clutter? Pretty much what you would expect trying to filter out a drum break and lay your own break programming in, then compressing the whole thing again. Yeah still not feeling it. This goes on the big pile of unexceptional CB remixes and mashups, somewhere far far behind even the likes of Flip The Switch, which had a few interesting mix ideas. Having said that, it was made for fun and i suppose it got a reaction at Glasto, so, who am i to comment.

I'd have left it in the pub n all
lazy
I've not checked out much from the breaks scene in a long time. I've got friends who run breaksy nights and I'm afraid it doesn't do much for me any more - lazy bootlegs with a break stapled on the top of another track or honking electrohouse influences.
hmmmm
horses for courses I guess.

I cut the remix from the set radio rip:
