Isondil, yes I am a U.S. resident.

So far my store has sold 69 copies of Push The Button and we had to order more and yes, I check every day to see the totals ;) That may not sound like much, but my store is like the megalomart of music, we have a lot of product and generally electronic music doesn't sell that great - just not a strong demographic I guess. But my store is only 1 store out of several in the area, plus factor in that Tower's a a big chain that's actually doing it's own to promote Push The Button.

69...sexy number. here in mexico is becoming popular too, i finally see the galvanize video on MTV!!!!!!! just one problem it was (12:00 AM...bastards) }:-@

It's good to see some fellow US fans. It's also nice to see that the chemical brothers are still becoming more popular over here. 69 is certainly a nice number of sales at one store. The shop I was referring to is a lot smaller than Tower Records (which, in fact, I have been to - but I am not too familar with).

Anyway, Thanks for the response whirlygirl.

I"m in the U.S. too. I've been calling around trying to get a room booked for Coachella. I think the closest I can find is Palm Springs. Ugh.

evermin, do you have your ticket already? Are you bringing anyone else along? We'll need to have a headcount the closer we get to Coachella - it would be cool to meet up.

toomuch'stash and I have a room at the Motel 6 (it's a dump, but it's air conditioned and close to the venue) for Friday night. And we finally got a room there for Saturday night as well - stash had to call Motel 6 every day and wait for a Saturday cancellation. You may want to just keep trying the hotels every day - there's bound to be someone who is cancelling a room.

My brother-in-law is tagging along, so there will be 3 of us in our little crew staying at the hotel. I'm sure there's room to sneak a couple of people in if nobody minds sleeping on the floor. I'm sure 'stash won't mind helping a brother out - let us know.

Plus there's the camping option which a couple of people here are doing.

Hehe... thanks for the offer! I may have to take you up on it if I can't find a room. But then, I'm NOT camping -- and if I can't get some of my work moved to before or after that weekend, I can't go --

plus i'm not a camper. I'm totally a camping wuss. Roughing it is when I don't have a TV in the room (obviously I wouldn't use it on this trip, but i think see what i'm saying)

I'll be posting the status of my trip as we get closer to see who else is going along, if i can go. i could def. do to meet up. I'm trying to hook up with a bunch of friends from Chicago who are going. (5 or 6 i think?)

I know what you mean about camping. I enjoy camping but in a more peaceful environment complete with an inflatable mattress, boombox and guitar for tunage, campfire, marshmallows and plenty to drink and all that nonsense ;) Would love to rent a big rv and go camping out in Joshua Tree some day, that would be amazing, but only in the early springtime or fall. Otherwise it's way too hot.

The thing with Coachella camping is that it's OK as a very last resort. At least it's offered. It can't stress enough how fuckin hot it is out there, it is the desert after all. The sun starts beating down pretty early in the morning. I must be getting old, because the thought of roughing it on the Coachella campgrounds with all the noise, the heat and everything else seems so unappealing to me!

I was listening to Push the Button (big surprise I know how shocked you all must be) this morning and I remembered something I've been meaning to bring up.

Segue's between songs on Push The Button, and the similiarities they have to segues in other Chemical Records. Namely Come With Us.

The one that jogged my memory was the end of Come Inside, with those beat arrangement and short whooshing sounds that appear before the song heads into The Big Jump. To me this is reminiscent of the segue from It Began In Afrika to Galaxy Bounce. Actually I find both segues to be strikingly similar. That particular segue, with it's cowbell sounds, also reminds me a bit of The State We're In transitioning into Denmark on Come With Us.

Anyone else hear the similarities? Can anyone think of other transitions that sound similar to song transitions on other Chemical records?

Come on, humor me. You know I could talk about this record all day!

Talking of stickiness, my ears are all glued up behind the eardrum. Had a big cold when I saw the Chems in Manchester, now my ears are sticky and horrible. Wonder how many Chems fans I infected? :-//
